13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

His ability to take a subject that has its own vocabulary and teach it in a fashion that is very understandable. Lectures incorporated book/course material very nicely. Kept class involved in lectures and used good analogies for cases that related to the material being discussed. vast knowledge in subject. Just about everything, he is funny, get the material across clearly, has all assignments due dates easily understandable and has all the material ready, overall great teacher, highly recommended. Definitely knew the subject thoroughly and was able to break it down and relate it to familiar scenarios from either current events or something the students could all relate to by actively involving them in these scenario examples His knowledge and experience relating to the course material he has a good sense of humor. Class was always fun. Knowledge of the subject is a major strength for teaching Business Law. The teacher precisely communicates his expectations and class work deadlines. He really knows his stuff and was able to teach me a lot. Because he knew his material he was able to make easy to understand examples. That helped me a lot. He is very close to the teacher and he has so many examples to make students to understandably. His class is fun to hear and learn at the same time. Interaction. Use of examples clearly demonstrated the materials in different ways to enforce our learning. Opening the class with current events that relate to the topic

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

None Tell you what you got on each of your papers. Perhaps presenting class standings midway through the semester Less chapters per exams. I suggest having more exams with fewer chapters He always end up the class so earlier. No change suggested. Just stay the way you are, that is, perfect. maybe if he could give the hand outs that'd be great other than that no changes. No-point quizzes... I know that this is more work for him, but if he wants to help his students I think this is an amazing way. It will show him which chapters are too difficult and which easy and so it will tell him where to spend more time on.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

He would answer emails and suggest remedies. Asking after each lecture if we had any questions about what was discussed. Gave them time to do work in class, helped them with any questions they had, was available outside of class if you needed him. Was approachable after class and able to assist each student's questions to help them understand material better He asks us questions of what's going on and asks us what our opinions were He replied an email to me quickly all the time.Y He would always repeat if their were any questions and strictly tells us that everything on the test was covered in his lectures. He is really close to the students and he is always welcome to help. Reminders that students owe him papers. He doesn't have to do this but he does. He always tries his best to answer questions when students ask

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes, Due to his strengths. Yes, his lectures are very clear and he is more than willing to provide additional help when something is not understood. yes, knowledgeable and respectful. Yes because he is a great teacher that gets all the material across clearly and grades fairly and is funny as well. Most definitely! He makes the subject matter relatable, provides study guides and outlines, and teaches in a manner that is animated and not monotone that I think encourages students to pay attention better. His teaching style and methods help retain the information taught by making it relatable. Yes he is a great instructor with a solid background relating the course material. Only suggestion is less chapters per exam and have more exams instead Yes because I could learn a lot from this class. For law majors, I would recommend Mr. Duane Seabolt. On the other hand, If you are looking for a teacher just to take the course for another major then sticking to a regular business class is suggested unless you need an WI intensive course or you have a knack to do better at more intensive classes instead of regular classes. Yes. He was a great teacher and the course was set up so that we were able to succeed as long as we put effort into it. He is very helpful and know how to answer questions so that you understand. Yeah because you will learn really productive. Yes and no, Yes because he is good. No because some students wont do good on his exams because of the no homework assignments.

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Great teacher and can give account from both the CPA and Esq point of view. Professor Seabolt is awesome & hope he keeps instructing at KCC! If you are going to take a class and he is one of the instructors, choose his class! Awesome teacher! Thanks for a great semester!!! nothing I would like to see full use of class time and letting his teacher's know that he is there to utilize his experience to an extent of his standards and not for the expectations for the student. Great teacher and great person. He is a good instructor.

None Great teacher, they are getting hard to come by and he is among the best out there. probably the best teacher I have had yet with 54 credits already taken. nothing I like the class time. Evening times works best for studnets who work or sleep in the morning. I want to see more longer class hours for classes that are in required or higher levels for a major because the school is not enforcing their use on all students to have an easier time to find a job at their skills and that is what school is for. I want the school to solve this issue in the near future and probably consider it a resolution to solving the economic crisis and unemployment. Time is on their side for those who take the time to learn. I enjoyed this class even though I thought I wouldn't. Nothing

Very knowledgeable on the topic and applies it to everyday scenarios his way of teaching was effective He explained the subject very clearly, and used many real life examples that made for a more clear understanding. He was very approachable and helpful. he knew the course material and explained everything clearly He was very knowledgeable and he knew how to make often confusing legal terms into something simple and easy to understand. Great lectures!

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

no changes No changes, it was a very good class divide the class into groups to present on chapters, to engage them to participate in class materials covered. I dont have any. N/A

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

He would go over reviews for tests and send out e-mails promptly asked students if anyone understood the material various times during his lectures. He liked to talk to us and see how everyone is doing, and what we think about things that are happening in our world today. He asked us if we understood everything after every class.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

absolutely! the laid back forum style of the class makes it very interesting yes, because he is fair and knows how to get the point across Yes i would recommend him to students because he is very good at teaching this course. He was able to answer any question we had yes, he's a fair teacher with his teaching methods that don't really pressure students but give you the challenge to read up before class Yes, because i felt he was a good teacher and I got a lot out of the course. Yes because he is easy to understand compared to other teachers

-Very clear about subjects -Students were allowed to be involved in the discussion -Knew all topics very well -Didn't force work on students yet still got information across Know course material very well, explains very clearly. He is very encourging for students to ask questions and speak their minds on a given subject or topic. By using real life situations he made the material very easy to understand. He knew his material well, and made us realize what is out there in the real world. Willing to answer questions. he has a lot of knowledge about what he's teaching. He always raise examples to present law concepts.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

-Maybe offer through review sessions before the tests giving a overall summery of things we've covered i don't any changes is necessary, Perhaps have more assigments to offer to students instead of just 3 exams and 2 short papers. It would offer grade improvments to students who are poor test takers. Provide Homework. slow down on his teachings and exams.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Very interactive with students but wouldn't discourage any ideas prompt cues to us for memorization, the material itself is overwhelming for students new to law. Used examples that were clear, and on the spot really know the field of study. He encouraged all of his students to see him outside of class if they do not understand the material Gave us a lot of time to review He always reply students e-mail as soon as he can to clearify our doubts promptly.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes because: -He made law enjoyable to listen to and allowed students to learn with their own logic -No one would be left out and was allowed to learn by various ways of their choosing (i.e. notes, book, lecture, etc) Yes, I would strongly recommend Duane Seabolt to students because he is a good teacher. Yes, because like stated i think instructor is clear, just the material can be diffucult. Absolutly. He has a passion for his subject and is very knowledgeable about law. Yes, because he gives a lot of help. Yap, I love his way to present those difficult law concepts.

Very proficient in his subject n/a He makes what would normally be a very boring class entertaining and fun. Hes the man A responsible teacher who always send us the outline of upcoming lesson.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

Great display of knowledge and familiarity with the subject. Duane Seabolt has many strenghts as a teacher a few of which include, a well organized class lecture, easily accesible online outlines and an easy going teaching style. He has great knowledge of the subject area due to his professional experience. I think that this is a great advantage. He is understanding, and willing to help students. He also uses example to explain the complicate theory, which significantly help my understanding. He also encourage us to ask questions. Mr.Seabolts's major strengths as a professor is his ability to change his teaching stratagies based upon the different student. Along with this strength comes his ability to read his students and find a way to get the material across to them. He is very talent and able to help student answer all the questions He's simple and makes the subject simple to understand. Mr. Seabolt has a lot of experience in Business Law and demonstrated the ability to relate that experience to his students. He made this subject more interesting by frequently giving examples and scenarios to help illustrate the different areas of law.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

Writing assignments as a reinforcement of the topics discussed or will be discuss in class. The only change that I would want for this class are more grading opportunities. Rather than just 3 test during the sememster i would like a chance to imporove my grade by doing assignments and other types of work. Maybe more interactive activities. N/A We can have more case study during the class time. None I would suggest that Mr. Seabolt reorganize the syllabus so that the chapter readings are more evenly distributed throughout the course.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Duane Seabolt showed concern for students by leaving a period of the class for open discussion or questions, letting the students ask what they need. showed concern by making sure we were prepared for exams and also always allowing us to ask questions before or after lecture to clarify any topics. See Q13 Mr.Seabolt made his office hours available to students to come talk one on one about the material. He also available by way of e-mail, and always kept the class on the same page via e-mail as well. He always ask students if there is any questions to ask about the course material Answers all questions and makes subject easier. Mr. Seabolt was always available to answer questions and offer his expertise to students.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

yes, for students who can study well and do well on test i would highly recomend him to other students. yes, learned a lot and would definitely take another class offered by him. Yes. See Q13 I would strongly suggest students to Seabolt because he is very knowledgeable in the subject and is effiecent in getting the material across to his students. Yes, informative and keeps it interesting Yes, because he is a nice teacher and fair to students Yes. Easy grade. Can definitely get through his class. Yes, he is a personable teacher with extensive knowledge in his subject.

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Said it all... Very friendly and approachable which also made learning easier. I hope that I have the opprotunity to be a student of his again. I would take another class with Professor Seabolt Good guy. Thanks for the good class, I learned a lot about business law and it is interesting to applies to real life situations.
