21. How did the instructor show concern for students?

He was always available when a student had a question. When i had a question, he really helped took time to understand what i was trying to do and exactly how to help. I never felt like he was in a rush or was irritated, even though there were twenty plus students with individual questions. always being there for help working directly with students and figuring out the individual problems if any helped everyone that needed it. explained things when students didnt understand things. met with students during office hours. Bryce always allowed his students to take their time on each assigned project. And if you could not complete the project on the days of class he always allowed us to come in on certain days to complete and work on out project. He was always willing to lend a helping hand He was always available to help us if we needed help. He also answered all our questions. Not just myself but Bryce take time to help and guide each individual one on one if need be before , during and after class. He gives each student individual help on projects! Also has time outside of class to help you. He always listened to them. he works with students individually the proper techniques of handbuilding He helps us with any questions and gives good advice and lots of his time. He shows he really cares about our work and improvement.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I really liked how we were able to create something personal and not everything had to be exactly the same. I liked that he was always available for help and he always explained things very well. clear on what needs to be completed fun class and taught well. I like how laid back he was and how he never tried to alter our ideas, no matter how crazy they were. I loved everything about this course. Bryce Myers made it very interesting and fun. He knows his craft to the T. He explains everything in a manner thats very relatable to everyone clearly and efficiently. I really enjoyed this class because he was a good teacher and the projects were very flexible. Although we still had to follow some guidelines, each person got to make what interest them. I liked the animal project. I like his demos and his slideshows. He is available throughout the day and communicates well.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

he has great hair :) He is a very good teacher and he knows what he is teaching he is a great teacher and his classes are interesting. Bryce is an awesome teacher and the best i've had so far at wcc I liked how he made art come to life and made it interesting to learn. Great teacher and very helpful and polite. Really great teacher and I would like to take another ceramics class from him. I like his pony tail. He is a great ceramicist.

24. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

The only possible thing i would recommend is giving students a suggested date to finish a project. or a timeline when certain things in a project should be finished. that they have more of an idea if theyre on track or not. yea buddy, down to earth teacher yes yes, he is a great teacher. Yes because he allows you to have fun while doing your work Yes most definitely. He is a very good instructor. Definetly! Yes! He is very patient and is willing to help you. Yes because he explains directions good and helps you. He allows you to work how you want but will help you and is flexible with his projects. He doesn't limit your imagination when giving an assignment and he teaches well.

met during office hours. helped students that needed it. answered questions. Always easily available in and out of class Mr. Myers is an extremely kind teacher. He's completely willing to help us understand the different things about clay. He takes his time with each students problems.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

allowed me to do more than what was required for final project. interesting class and taught well. The demonstrations are very good but needs to be shortened as it get a little boring after long demonstrations. He's also really good at explaining things so that it's easy to understand. I would totally recommend him to anybody wanting to learn ceramics.

he is a great teacher. Very good teacher Not only is he a good teacher but he's also a fantastic person. Bryce is an awesome instructor who is often available to help outside of scheduled class times. He is very friendly,helpful and knowledgable.

24. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

definately, all around good teacher yes, his classes are interesting and well taught. Yes, fun class and easy going though lots to learn. I would absolutely recomment Mr. Myers to other students. He's willing to help no matter what. Yes! He is very easy to approach, very easygoing and makes learning fun!

21. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Bryce Myers show alot of concern for his students by helping everyone understand so that we are on the same sheet of music. I really enjoyed how you made it a point in every class to come around to every student and see how they were doing in order to improve their picture or skills. He is a very kind, patient & encouraging person. Bryce would show his concern for his students by giving each person individual help on certain projects and point out the rules and values that could develop our piece. he helped us during class and told us thinks that can help us with are painting. He comes and checks up on us if he sees that we are struggling in the art project. I think that he appears to try to talk to each student individually during the class time, not easy task since we are twenty plus students. Some students need more assistance than others and he really tries to give them more instruction. It was wonderful to see a teacher who really is concerned about how his instructions are being absorbed by the students. Bryce is a great encouraging teacher!!! He is always open to a one on one conversations with students. He is available;e to encourage and always brings technical skill to the aid of the student Bryce ensures that he meets with every student at least once a day. He also obtained a temporary parking access for me as I am still recovering from knee surgery. (More comprehensive comments were made in the sculpture class evaluation.) He was always there to help his studens to learn how to complete the course.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

Bryce gave great demo's, and made it easy to learn. I enjoyed how you took it from beginning to end and how you built it up from the first day of class to the last day of class. Just when I felt like I understood the concept we were going over you threw in soemthing new always challenging me to push forward and learn more. His demonstrations were great. I especially liked the way he would give examples and do demonstrations. He would point out different techniques of each artists' uniqueness (the students) and show excellent examples of how we could improve our skills. i really like how he showed us many style of art and that we all have are own style of painting and that we just need to find it. Very helpful. Teaches us to use different techniques. I liked his attitude toward the students. he never made anyone feel inadequate or stupid. I think the best part is that he conveyed the feeling that he wanted you to do your own artistic vision rather than just to try to paint the way he did. Bryce teaches and sows techniques and is very encouraging for students to explore art I absolutely love his class. I loved everything. He allows for a creative space and the environment is always charged with creativity that he inspires in his students. In Bryce's classes anything is possible Bryce is a sterling example of a conscientious and dedicated teacher. He is a good listener and adapts well to any situation. He gives you the basics and lets you experiment and explore different subjects and techniques. He gave his students indiviual attention when they needed help. He was always there for you with a smile.

He is a outstanding teacher. You seriously are one of my favorite art teachers that I have ever had in my life. Many times when I would take an art class I would feel more discouraged about what I do rather than encouraged, and you know know how to use your words in a way to help improve the students art work and self esteem by pointing out what is good first then pointing out out what the student can improve on. He knows the material very well. He is very focused on an artist's growth and gives you confidence to take risks. I was very amazed at the art that I produced and how fast I was able to develop new skills. he is a very great teacher Very cool teacher. He is very likable and calm, which makes for a very relaxed learning environment, the best learning environment in my opinion. Really great teacher!!! A watercolor #2 class would be a perfect follow up to his class. He has a deep understanding of form, color, design....although he creates a relaxed environment there is always a bar that keeps getting raised as the students get the support they need to develop the skill to do more complex work. He inspires excellence Bryce has innovative ideas and is willing and capable of fulfilling his commitments. You can depend on him... He gave 110% effort in making sure you learned the lesson even if it meant staying over time after class. No body cares for his students as much as he does.

I would recommend Bryce Myers to all the students. YES I will be recommending you to others who are interested in taking an art class. Yes. Yes, I would recommend Bryce Myers to other students because he is very patient and understanding about what your goals are. He is helpful and is willing to work with you through any project. yes, because he is a very great artist to learn and cares about his students. YES. very interesting course and a great teacher. Helps students when needed and also gives great advice to help better your art piece. Most definitely yes, because he opens up a world of creativity, possibility and watercolor. He is not an easy teacher but he will have you learn something about color, drawing and being creative. Yes!!!!! Without any doubt. Yes and I already have I would highly recommend Bryce to all students. He will motivate you. Yes, he is very patient and explains the subject matter down to the level of a very beginner to the more experienced painter. Bryce is a great teacher, and I would like to see a intermediate water color, I would take it. I wouldn't mind taking another class from him. This class was fun. I liked working outdoors with landscapes and architect. i wish he had a higher watercoloring art class to go to. Thanks Bryce!!!!! I would love to have Bryce teach the next level course. We've all come so far and no-one really wants to go to Manoa to continue learning what we could get right here at WCC Please consider intermediate and advanced watercolor classes. Additional classes will invite new students and retain "old timers" for a long time. As far as I am concerned, I have never found any instructor that would give you so much of his time to make sure you learned correctly. He always instructs without raising his voice or scolds you. He treats his students with respect. He woul be a plus on any university faculty.

He would fine time in his busy life to help you with your work He has such a patient nature. In his 100 class he had a special student who needed almost constant attention, Professor Myers did just so. VERY good natured AND professional as well.Bravo! Answering the onslaught of questions and spending individual time with students. Bryce is an amazing teacher and when our pieces that we spent a lot of time and hard work on broke, he made sure he helped us fix them whenever possible... and we made a lot of stupid mistakes. He's very kind, flexible, and GOOD AT COMMUNICATING which is very important for a teacher. He KNOWS HIS STUFF.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I like how he has a step by step way when he explains the work that needs to be done. He helped you by giving guidance and gave freedom through our clay creations. He also gave each and every student attention needed. Overall helpfulness. He's great at addressing our special concerns and interests, he assigned a variety of assignments and gave us a little personal freedom with our art ideas.

That he a good teacher and I hope I have his class next steamer. Besides Paul Nash, Professor Myers has inspired me further in my Art endeavors. I'm taking art to better myself in pastry work. I'm looking forward to taking classes from him again. Overall awesome teacher. Hands down best art teacher ever. Enjoy every DRAWING PAINTING AND SCULPTURE/CERAMICS class that I've taken with him. Every student in the room loves and respects Bryce not just as a teacher but as an amazing human being.

Yes I would, if anyone want to take hand building for the first time Bryce would be a good teacher that will explain the step by step of ceramics hand building. 1000% yes! Learning os so fun and inspiring with him! TAKE HIS CLASSES! Yes, probably one of the most inspiring and encouraging teachers i've met. Definitely have and will. He's a great teacher, I learned a lot this semester. He's also kind, funny, and brilliant.

He was always right there to help the students who were having any difficulties. Also, he would cleary demonstrate the way in which things were to be done, which was very helpful. Bryce Myers constantly shows concern for students by asking them what it is there interested In making then individually showing each student how to properly make that. Everyone has a fun and personilized educational experience. he's always available to help students on their projects. Always available for help. he provides positive criticism to facilitate learning

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I like how he always made you feel like your doing a great job even though it may not be your best piece, his encouragement is inspiring. I especially liked the guided freedom Bryce Myers offered each student. No students ideas were wrong or impossible, no matter what level of student. They were embrassed and encouraged with proper form and instruction on how to do so. I also enjoyed how Bryce Myers thoroughly went over each step in throwing on the wheel and re-offered the same lesson over and over again until people got the hang of things. Then again he practiced the same instructing when it came to glazing and firing, and everything between.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

The enthusiasm that he has for his subject matter is very motivational. Bryce Myers is a good teacher because you can tell he's just a good guy. He genuinely cares and takes pride in what he does and he doesn't let personal issues, fatigue, or even hunger come in the way of him fulfilling his responsibilities at the studio. He always puts students (not collegues, or personal projects, or again literally even hunger) in front of everything while on campus.

Yes because ceramics is truly a fun thing to do and Bryce it a great teacher for first timers because hes so patient. I would highly recommend Bryce Myers to other students not because art classes are usually easy A's and Bryce is a cool guy, but because he makes pottery possible for everyone to learn. I've been in other pottery classes before at windward with other teachers and the rate of succes isn't as high as it is with Bryce's class. He may not run the place but he is more then capable and handles all of it with ease. There isn't any drama produced or following Bryce and that falls on the type of stand up guy he is, in time he to will have the upper hand title of "experience" on his side. Respect is earned not given, and Bryce is distinguished enough to earn the respect of everyone. yes!

Bryce spends time with individuals showing them methods of achieving the desired result with any and all tools available, and by being a genuinely awesome guy. Taking time to assist each student individually, and showing legitimate concern. he was constantly involved with everyone no matter how busy he got and probably would want to pull his hair out but he never showed it, very humble and always helpful Bryce patiently visits with every student at least once a day. His handouts are very informative and greatly enhances the particular task at hand. His comprehensive demonstrations and explanations also facilitates the efficient completion of the students' work. Personally,I am indeed very appreciative of Bryce's kindness and thoughtfulness. On August 18 I underwent knee surgery for a torn meniscus and reported to class on August 21. Because of restrictions in mobility (i.e. no climbing of stairs/hills, avoiding rocky/slippery pavements, lifting objects over five pounds, etc.), Bryce obtained a temporary parking access for Iolani for me. He helps EVERY student get to where they are trying to go in their work. He makes the studio available including on weekends. He treats his students with respect and finds a way of pointing the way so as a student you are always evolving.....I think this is his strong suit....He knows when to step in to help you feel successful when your skill level is limited and then he knows when to step back and let you grow in confidence Anytime anyone had a question or concern he would come over and help them out. As well as scheduling time outside of class to work with us. Mr Myers is always concerned for each and every student. He takes the time to sit with each individual student.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

It's all very visual which caters to my learning ability, I can mimic a technique quite easily if shown once or twice. Balance of skill development and creative freedom. Just how hands on he was, you don't find that often anymore, he answers every question to the finest detail to help aid anyone in need and leave room for improvement I have only praises for Bryce as he realizes how important every sculpture is to the student artist. He handles each piece with utmost care and assists and encourages each individual to see the project to completion. Most of all, I like Bryce's positive mental attitude (i.e. where there's a will, there's a way). His can-do attitude is contagious. WE just kept going higher....this was a fantastic class and Bryce met each student at their level I liked that it was up to us what we wanted as our final. I most enjoyed his caring personality and his unwavering devotion to see each student succeed.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

I'm grateful to have been under his tutelage, and which to take more of his courses in the near future. Generally great teacher. Bryce is truly an outstanding human being. He is compassionate, loyal and hardworking. I also took watercolor from his this semester. I know first hand that he spent his weekend in the classroom preparing still-lives, xeroxing handouts and/or painting illustrations to facilitate class on Tuesday morning. Bryce also checks the sculptures to ensure that they are drying satisfactorily and assists the students in repairing and cracks. This is i8n addition to loading and unloading the kiln. Bryce is also at work on Fridays (I believe it's his day off). He opens the lab to enable me to work on my pieces and even assisted me on two more complicated pieces for my final projects. This is Bryce. He makes time to avail himself. I wish he taught more classes. I came back as a full time student because of the classes he was teaching...he has so much skill in so many areas. I wish we as students had higher level classes to enroll in with Bryce Dude....awesome teacher! HE IS AN INSTRUCTOR THAT WCC NEEDS MORE OF!!!!!! HE NEEDS A RAISE TO KEEP HIM HERE

um... DUH! (that's a yes in layman's terms) Yep, knows subject matter and is just overall awesome. Hell to the yes! just a great class, i never knew i could sculpt now i made bodies, faces, i'm rather flummoxed honestly. I would wholeheartedly recommend Bryce to all students. I admire his honesty and quick thinking. Yes, absolutely and I already have! Yes because it is a super fun class and he is not super criticizing. yes!! He is the best

this is Jeff Green. Not really. Bryce would make a wonderful department head. He has wonderful ideas and is willing to see them through fruition. He is also fair and objective. Intermediate and advanced sculpture classes would be inviting to new and "old time" students. Bryce comes across as very unassuming, but he is highly educated and articulate on any subject I have engaged him on as a student in drawing, painting, sculpting.....his overall education in the liberal arts makes everything he teaches expand. He always asked if anyone needed help with any particular problem and was constantly going around class to see if we needed help or gave suggestions on how to improve on a project. Bryce went up to his students individually throughout the class. while the class is in session he systematically goes to each student to see what areas of their drawing they need assistance in and shows them specific techniques which could be utilized to get the desired effect. If the student has a specific question, he is able to answer it in a way that is completely understandable and effective. Always walked around and helped each student one-by-one he addressed our art work individually with concern. he didn't compare our skills. he taught us each what we could improve on regardless of our skill level. he let us share our opinions.

28. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I liked that he was enthusiastic about the subject. I liked the different methods of drawing that seemed difficult, but it makes sence. I enjoyed the enthusiasm that he brought to the class in the attempt to stimulate our creative juices so that we could feel good about the things we were drawing. He was always positive and helpful without being condescending or overly complex, and I feel that the order of steps in which he went through to teach the progression of difficulty through composing a drawing was perfect. Each class was a perfect seg-way from the previous class and the whole semester had a very relaxed but fast paced flow so that I didnt even realize how much i had gotten better until i compared drawings from the first day to the end of the class. Showed a lot of interest in subject, and was really helpful in making students' drawing improve i liked how much we talked about art. i've never taken an art course where we talked so much about art and looked at examples. i liked the assignments and homework assignments because they were varied. each assignment taught us different new skills.

29. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

He was motivating and encouraged us to speak up in class and say what we were thinking and to voice any opinions we had. He's a really good art professor. very good teacher and I will most likely try to schedule myself into another of his classes because I feel that I personally am able to learn a lot with his method of teaching. Very down to earth talented artist who can both do and teach. Bryce shares his keen knowledge of the subject matter with the students. he's relatively straight out of art school, and has so much to offer. it might just be his good attitude and intent desire for us to learn to see. some other teachers aren't willing to talk about art so in depth. Bryce is willing and able to address every question a student may ask.

Yes, I would. He was a nice teacher with always positive things to say. I would recommend Bryce to anyone who's interested in art. He makes the objects that seemed difficult to draw, simpler. I definitely would recommend him to other students, esapecially those without much drawing experience because he is able to build a solid foundation in which drawing becomes easier and more rewarding. Yes because he shows that he really cares for each student. He gives a lot of examples, and he is nice. yes because he's a good teacher and a nice person.

Bryce really goes above and beyond. He answers questions and explains until we understand the concepts. tries to help students with challenging circumstances, and is always positive about our attempts to be creative. Bryce is always making sure everyone understand the assignments and literally helps you if you don't! It made the class feel less pressure because he was always eager to help you if you needed it.

Bryce is extremely knowledgable. He excels in many types of art and it shows in his teaching. I especially loved Bryce's style of teaching and appreciated how much knowledge he has about the "art world." I felt eager to come to class because he made it fun to be in.

Bryce is extremely dedicated to teaching and really invests in the lives of his students. Class individual, great member of teaching staff. He is a really good teacher and I hope I can take more courses with him.

He is the top person I recommend to fellow students. He is an amazing teacher. Yes, because his class is fun and I discovered I actually had some artistic ability. He was right to say people who don't think they have any talent usually are the most surprised at the end of the course. YES!!! He was a great instructor and worked with students who had outside class complications. He was also available by cell phone or email and replied quickly.

Bryce is very approachable and interested in seeing his students succeed. He is always available to any of his students for extra help and is kind and genuine. by spending extra time with students when a student had difficulty understanding something helped students individually concerning projects He spends a lot of one on one time with everyone and makes suer that everyone ison the same page. Always available to help and answer questions and give suggestions to make work better.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I like that Bryce gave us a lot of work time to do our projects with only necessary lectures an demonstrations and then took the time to help each individual. I disliked that we had no idea what our grade was throughout the class. I like that Bryce was able to show us exactly what we were supposed to do, and if we needed help, he took the time to individually help you until you were where you needed to be. Bryce knows his "stuff". He makes the subject interesting and is always showing examples of how to properly execute a piece. He is very good at explaining and with the demos the concepts involved in learning likes the on hands learning His courses have the right balance of demoing, hands on learning, and one on one time. He was very easygoing and excited about his work.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Awesome teacher, really makes ceramic fun, interesting, and relatively easy to learn If I could take every class that Bryce teaches, I would. He is a friendly, fun and kind teacher who does not make you feel inferior. He is passionate about art and that passion makes it so much fun to be around. He is an excellent teacher and knows a lot about his subject. He likes working with the students. Keep being awesome! Nice guy.

Yes, Bryce is a great teacher and really helpful I would recommend Bryce to other students because he is a good teacher and very kind. Absolutely...especially brand new students or older return students. His teaching style is easy to understand and the information is not overwhelming. If you love art then you will love Bryce's classes. Yes, he is the best! yes, learn a lot on wheel-throwing Yeah, awesome teacher, fun subjects, good environment. Yes. Good teacher and passionate about art.

When we had to meet outside of class Bryce drove students who could not make it because they did not have a car or another way of getting there. Its good that he is avalible outside of class to help with problems that may have occured when working on our home assignments. He is able to cater to students special needs in the class and is able to identify the strong qualities and weak qualities each student has. Listened to concerns and was willing to work on individual basis with each student. By being available to offer advice, tips, help, and instruction on a regular basis. He is always asking if everything is ok, always approaching you to see if there anything he can do to help you. Always available to work 101 with you, going over the assignments and explain again if necessary. Bryce Myers shows concern for students by tailoring assignments to meet the interests of the individual. He always encourages students, and never is condescending. He always help students with things of concern of the subjecy, and personal problem situations.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I like how he showed us different ways of using watercolor that I would have never thought of using them. I really liked how he was able to do examples in class because learning from him teaches me a lot faster then trying to explain it. But it also helped with all the prereading he gives us before class so we have a understanding of what we are going to do in the class before we have the class. Incorporated various techniques in approaching watercolor painting. Great desire and passion for the subject. Great knowledge. Willingness to sit with students and guide them in the painting process. Fun and engaging I really like the ways he teaches. It is simply, clear, fun, interesting. I liked the "plein aire" classes. Getting outside and painting was great! Also, he always demonstrated the painting topic after introducing it. I like the way he explains the assignments, and always help when you have problems on the subject and presents the topics we are working on very well.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Nothing else. Awesome teacher. By far one of the best and most informative classes I've ever had. His easygoing and kind nature makes students feel comfortable enough to ask questions, and ask for help when stuck or struggling. Bryce is an excellent teacher and a great person! Very knowledgeable, still very humble and super down to earth guy! Bryce always has something positive to say about the students' art work. His criticism is always constructive, helpful, and sincere. He is a good teacher, and is a mellow person.

24. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

Yes, watercolor is a hard medium to use and he teaches many different, useful ways to use it. Yup! if your interested in watercolor or art in general he is a very good teacher to learn from Definitely yes because of his ability to vary the material in the class to fit the needs of the students. Yes! Because it's a fun class. He's a fun teacher. And you are properly educated, which is what you should get when you pay good money to go to school. Absolutely I will recommend Bryce class because he is a great teacher, he keep his class and his students interested. I already have recommended Bryce Myers' courses. He is always enthusiastic about water color painting and ceramics too. His enthusiasm is contagious. Yes, I would recommend him to other students.

He came in during his free time if we were falling behind. He happily gave individual attention to everyone. He discussed ideas and helped people execute them. He always made himself available for out of class work times. Makes time outside of class and encourages progress etc. He comes around to ask the students if they need help and offers advice when we ask for it. I also like the frequency that he comes to check on us. Not so little that we don't get help; not so much that he wastes time we could be doing work. When he is available to explain and work 101 sit and discuss with me, give me options and ways to keep going with the class. Bryce is concerned with his students, for example if they don't show up for class he texts them to see if there is any way that he can help us with anything. He also comes around during class time to help us individually.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

He graded based on your level. If you weren't a pro like the rest of the class, he graded you based on what you could do best. I especially liked his enthusiasm for the projects and peoples ideas; all the projects were fun because of it. General environment and atmosphere of the studio plus how encouraging of a teacher he is. He has a good grasp of what is important info required to complete the work and gives it quickly as well as understandably; without forgetting to give a little bit of supplementary info for people who want to learn more about a certain art form. I like the way he present the subject, he keep it simple and easy to understand and if is not clear enough he would try different ways to approach to make sure the topic is clear enough. I donâ??t think anything I dislike about the way he manage his class. Bryce is good at treating us like adult. He lets us think freely about what we want to do for our projects, and if we are having a hard time he helps guide us to do what is expected. I had no bad experiences with bryce, he is a good teacher and a good person overall.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

He's a really really good art teacher. He obviously enjoys the work he does and because that shows the students enjoy the projects and work as well. Seems kind of everywhere with how many people need to talk with him... poor guy. He in friendly, helps us keep focus, encourages us to continue, keeps an open mind to projects that take interesting approaches, and is efficient yet organized in his teaching schedule. Bryce is a wonderful teacher!! He knows a lot of things and he presents them in a very simple way. As a person he is very down to earth and easy to approach. Very responsible and dedicated to his students. He is doing a great job at what he does and to keep up the good work.

Yes. He's interested in art and it shows through when hes teaching it. I would because he is passionate, helpful, and encouraging. Yep, makes for a god teacher. I would because he is virtually the best art teacher I have ever had. Absolutely! I will recommend to other student to takes this class! it is fun, challenging, great atmosphere, very therapeutic. A great opportunity to meet a cool guy that knows and enjoyed what he does. Yes I would recommend Bryce to other students because you will not only experience having a good teacher but also having a good friend or a good person to count on.

21. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Most teachers pack-up and leave as soon as class is over- but Bryce Myers is always available to answer questions, giving students every opportunity to succeed. Bryce is a really good teacher and is extremely passionate about art. He is very encouraging and positive and gives very good demos in class as well as provides individual help to all the students. by answering detailed questions from each student Bryce Myers showed concern for his students by offering his help when students were having problems trying to throw on the wheel. Through observing the course, beginning students would often have problems with the basic techniques of coning and centering, pulling, and trimming their pottery. It seemed at every class there would always be a problem students would run into and Bryce would always run over and know exactly what the student was doing wrong. He would explain to the student how to change what they were doing so they would fix their problem and learn the correct technique and in the future I would see those students learning from what Bryce had taught them and explaining to other students what they were doing wrong. Through Bryce's care and concern for his students I saw his students excel and create beautiful pottery under his teaching. Mr Myers took as much time needed with each individual student he gave all he could to see you progress He's always helpful. And is always needed around the studio. We might need to clone him. :)

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

Bryce always encourages us to explore new levels in our art, and teaches us the skills to reach them. Bryce is very welcoming and makes everyone feel like they were included in the class. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects including history, chemistry, technique, styles, of ceramics. interesting yet fun ! What I especially liked about the way Bryce Myers taught this course was the way he would describe the process of clay work. He would use examples that would create images to better understand the physics of throwing on the wheel. Mr Myers is very compassionate with all his students Bryce is capable of always seeing something special in a students piece, even when they can't or give up on it.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Bryce is inspirational. Not only does he teach art, but he creates so many different types. Bryce Myers is the most caring professor. He is patient with his students who become frustrated when things are not always going as planned during the pottery processes. He is always on time and very knowledgeable about clay. He is a professor that gives his all in everything he is a part of and Windward Community College is lucky to have a professor like Bryce. I would take any class offered by Mr. Myers secure in the knowledge that I will learn

I always recommend Bryce to students because he is arguably the best Instructor I've ever had. Yes.. he is one of the best art teachers I have ever had! There is not a student or person in the community that would not enjoy Bryce's Wheelthrowing classes. I have often recommended his courses to people I meet that are curios about my pottery I have done at this college. I told them that I knew nothing about clay before his classes and that he really helps his students with learning how to make whatever idea they have in their mind. He is patient and very approachable and easy to talk to if you need help. He is encouraging and a great teacher. YES Definitely. He's that kind of teacher that goes out of his way to meet and exceed the students expectations.

Thank you Bryce :) Windward Community College has a wonderful art program and has a wonderful staff here. It is obvious when you have hard working professors like Bryce that students with little or no background in art get accepted into nationally acclaimed art colleges. Bryce shows his concern by encouraging his students and making sure that they understand what is expected of them. He is very encouraging and has a great deal of knowledge when it comes to art. I like Bryce Myers and he in my opinion is a very good instructor. I enjoyed my Saturday class and came back each week. He showed concern in all that we did. He would stay after class to see if anyone had late work. They could ask questions and finish up the work if specific items were needed. Although there were some students in our class who felt like they wern't capable of "art work" good enough for this class, Bryce ALWAYS encouraged those individuals to try and do their best! I also like the fact that he made himself available for extra help even after class was done. I felt like I was holding him back, but he didnt mind AT ALL! He encouraged me to take as much time as I needed, and told me not to rush. Offers suggestions for courses to further knowledge of art for educational purposes. It is obvious that he is really passionate about what he teaches . He makes it fun, interesting and non- intemidating for students who are not art majors. Awesome teacher! Bryce Myers shows his concern for students by being available before and after class to answer any questions they may have. I feel that he want all of his students to succeed. Bryce always made himself available during and after class to help us understand the assignments when he could have packed up and locked the room and enjoyed the rest of his saturdays. One of our classmates didn't have childcare on some of the class days and he allowed her to bring him in so that she could still attend the class. Bryce Myers showed concern for his students by helping them clear up any outside problems to the best of his ability and he was sympathetic when students had a reason to miss his class.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I love the way he explains everything. I especially liked the way he thought this course because he was a cool professor and he was an awesome artist himself. He thought me many ways of expressing myself through art. Bryce was VERY easy to understand. Hes really down-to-earth, and Does NOT put himself on a pedestal WHATSOEVER!I WOU Great teacher The use of slides, along side the text. Informative to have visual and comprehensive style of learning. Lecture to art time ratio was perfect (***art time is great!!) He really was detailed and made sure that everyone understood what he was talking about. He always had projects that allowed the student (regardless of experience) do well. I like everything about his course. It was a really fun class, that helped my mind get back into be creative. As far as I knew, Art 101 was a class about the history of art. However, the way that Bryce taught this class was so much more hands on and so much less about art history which made the class enjoyable and challenged me, as a lover of art and a creative person, to think about a piece in a new way. All the information that you need for the assignments are provided through laulima in a well organized and thoughtfully planned way. He has taken the time to really provide you with every opportunity to succeed in this class!!! I really liked the fun atmosphere he created during each lecture. It wasn't boring and everyone seemed to enjoy the material we were given, even when some people claimed they didn't even like art in the beginning of the semester.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Bryce sometimes tends to get off subject, however, the tangents are always entertaining, and we always get back on track with the lesson. I will miss his class and he has encouraged my interest in the art world..... I would love to take another Art Course Hes the best! Influential thinker and innovative teacher He is a very good teacher and he's very knowlegable in art. I felt like Bryce was not only our teacher, but he could also be our peer. He never made you feel inferior. Since he's a local boy, he was relatable and he's got a great sense of humor. There were lots of laughs in class! I genuinely believe that he CARES about his students success.!!! He is a wonderful teacher who really inspired me to love art and learning. If I could, I would take all of the classes he offered!

Yes I would recommend Bryce Myers to other students. He himself is talented, concerned with students' progress, and makes the material interseting. yes, he is a good teacher Yes! He enjoys what he teaches and cares about others who want to learn this skill. You should always express yourself if you follow the instructions right just open up to reveal your true art Yes I would Besides learning content of the foundation to great works and aspects of art, you walk away from the class gaining knowledge of structure of an artwork, and a wealth of open doors to further your abilities. Yes.. He is great at getting students excited about art and giving a good basic foundation. I was definitely recomment Bryce Myers to other students because they will enjoy his class and learn new art techniques. ABSOLUTELY! He is a kind and patient teacher. You can see that he is really passionate about art, but never makes you feel like you are a novice compared to his expertise. He is patient and approachable and takes the time to give you the information that you need in order to understand the assignments. I liked him so much as a teacher that I am planning on taking another course from him next semester. It was my first time taking a college course and I was nervous but Bryce made me realize that college can be informative and fun! He takes time to chat with each student individually during class, and offers constructive criticism and alternate techniques for crafting things. He helped me with my hard slab project idea. I wanted to make a great stellated rhombicuboctohedron (google it) and he helped me work out solutions to problems I had with the construction. He was very encouraging and really made me feel confident that I could do it when I felt like scrapping the whole thing and starting over. Bryce wants students to succeed and does whatever he can to help them accomplish their goals. He's so encouraging! Mr. Myers is the best and is a very wonderful instructor will be taking more classes with Mr. Meyer HE NEEDS A RAISE SO WCC CAN KEEP HIM ON STAFF Really well, he always asks us whats up

Overall, the studio has a good air about it. He's very encouraging as an instructor, and understanding when issues and such come up. I like that he gives us assignments yet still gives us the freedom to make it our own. I also liked that though I was working hard to complete all my assignments, I was still able to have fun and enjoy myself. Bryce is not only passionate about ceramics, he is skilled and knowledgeable in he subject-- and it shows! He not only gives great demos, he spends time with each student helping them overcome obstacles and solve problems. He encourages us to keep growing, learning, and making art! especially liked his personable personality you could feel his compassion for helping his students i like his way of teaching

Bryce Myers showed concern for students by helping me with my painting projects to help me understand more about the watercolor media. He takes time to answer each student's questions and explains ways to improve their work. He is so patient and understanding and and really cares about each student's progress. I would highly recommend his classes.

I especially liked the way Bryce took us to other locations to paint outdoors. For the beginner student, he puts himself in their place and teaches from the very basics. He breaks things down in manageable sections that we can understand.

I would like to say that Bryce was a great teacher and helped me learn more about all different types of ways how to use this watercolor media. He is very knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches and wants to share his knowledge with his students no matter if they are beginners or advanced. Bryce always made himself available outside class if anyone needed any extra help or studio time and he consistently kept checking in on how we were doing with our pieces and asked how we felt about them. Since the sculpture studio doesn't have a lab assistant, Bryce was willing to come in on his own time to open the lab for us and help us outside of class time. He also took the time to work with us on our individual projects and helped us find the tools and informations we needed. He even let me borrow one of his books to use as a reference for my final project. Bryce Myers has shown willingness to extend classtime for students who had personal difficulties meeting time constraints finishing projects. Being available for questions/demos - often putting aside personal tasks. He listens to each person with total concentration; you are heard!

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I especially liked how mellow of an environment it was to work in. Bryce would work on projects with us, which helped me in learning the material quickly. Bryce was always understanding and never harsh, and always encouraged us with our ideas. I like that it is very informative and hands-on. I also like that he gets feedback from us for the projects he plans for us and really tailors the work he has us do according to the needs of the class and where we are in our skill level. I especially like the focus & depth of knowledge of anatomy he brings to the class; this provides a particularly essential tool for creating realistic figures. I've found that I've discovered something new & useful each session thus enabling me to apply and build on what I've learned. His unselfish sharing of hius extensive collection of books ads immeasurably to our understand of the subject as well as finding information to help with our 'work-in-progress'. His demos have proven useful whether a beginner or a 'repeater'.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

I'm really glad I got to take his class this semester. He is a very dedicated and hard working teacher! He probably doesn't get paid as much as he should for the amount of time he spends on campus helping his students. And you can tell that he genuinely cares about our success! He is one of the best teachers I've had here, like I would compare him to Snowden, he is that awesome! Bryce Myers loves his work! He loves every facet of art. This love translates into enthusiasm for teaching and imbues his class with wanting to learn and extending oneself in tackling ever more difficult projects.

24. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is interested in human anatomy and clay. I couldn't have imagined a better class or teacher to learn this new medium. I had never worked in clay before, and I can now say that I'm proud of the pieces I have made. I would and do! Because I know that he will help them and push them to be the best they can be in whatever class they take from him. I would recommend his class to all...expert or novice. With his level of knowledge, enthusiasm and attention to students' needs it's win/win for all.

21. How did the instructor show concern for students?

He understood my work schedual, with the constriction of summer class hrs. I finished all my assignments only because he helped my and gave me the time i needed. Always available to suggest ways to improve or to apply the techniques learned. Always available to listen to students comments or opinions. He takes his time to walk around to each student and explain how we can improve our skills. Also, he's very involved in helping the class as a whole to understand new concepts and ideas. He is very understanding when we are sick and cannot make class, or when there's a hurdle we have to overcome at home during home studies or in class. A specific example for me would be the time I couldn't wrap my brain around something that we had to draw. He helped me through the whole thing and was very patient with me, even when I got super frustrated over it. Also, he was very understanding when it came to me not being able to stand because of stitches in my foot. He spent ample one on one time with each student and even more so at their request. he is obviously passionate about what he teaches and through aids as well as simply things he knows, he tries to show things and ways to be inspired. If students could not make it, due to work or family related problems he gave extra time for homework and let students stay after class to work on things if they needed.

22. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

He through careful build up broke open skills both burried and lost. I started out drawing boxes for hours; i left drawning believable scenes in mere minutes. He is very passionate about art and this is evident in his expressions and opinions about the material and other artist. He always appears very engaged and present with teaching his students. He also has relative and inspiring stories to share. He kept the material interesting and fun every day, it's really amazing that he managed to keep me engaged in the work because I have a ridiculously short attention span. His teaching style is very hands on and it was pretty awesome that he drew alongside us. It was also very nice to be treated like an equal, it was more like being taught by a friend than a professor. I especially liked the extra handouts of artists past and present doing work that pertained to the course. They sparked my interst in ways to futher the skills being taught to me. I liked how some of the assignments challenged me because it can only make me a better artist in the end. I did not like how somethings felt rushed, but that was more of the class being in the summer than the teacher.

23. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Very cool guy brings excitement into the classroom. Units the art of drawing with other arts such as painting, sculpture, photography and the cinema. He also has a naturalness of being able to be very "easy going" towards all the diversity of people, which gives people the feeling of being able to feel comfortable in his presences where ever one may be in their level of skill or personal state. It's really awesome to see that he's very interested in the subject that he teaches. I've never had a teacher that's so happy about helping others learn new things. He's super nice and is concerned about his students welfare. The class was great and there's always something that he can teach you. You'd never think that boxes were so complicated... He is an enjoyable teacher.

24. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

Oh yes. His class taught me so much about how to see the world. It gave me not only better skills as an artist but, mentally made me stronger. Yes, because of his obvious passion and skill as an artist as well as a teacher. Yes, because he's very nice, very cool, and very knowledgeable about the course he teaches. Like any class, there's going to be times where you're sick of the material, but somehow he managed to keep us all interested, even when we were having a bad day. It's especially amazing because the summer courses are so very intensive and long, but it went by so quickly. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we had a blast this summer! yes...he is attentive and gives good structure to the course but allows you to do it in your own way while still being available for help. Yes, he is a good teacher, who is very passionate about art.

he was great at making sure the students understood by great examples Bryce makes time for his students after every class to assist them with whatever difficulties their having. He is always open to raised hand questions in class and addresses each one thoroughly. He makes a point to address each student in the class during in class assignments and on homework assignments. Bryce makes sure all students understand the content before we continue and he can be lenient if he feels you are a studious worker and are deserving for whatever the reason may be. He looked at each indivaul and helped them in what area they needed. I forexample had a brain injury and new the information he was asking but I could rember the name of the artist. He said tell me about the art and will figure it out from there. After a few times I started to beable to recall information better. He help me open file cabnets in my brain that I lost. In class he meets everyone at there levels and goes the extra mile. He can tell when someone doesnt quite get it and he takes the time to help them. i looked forward to class and couldnt wait for it to start, when time was up you wonder where the time had went. Bryce helped me rember how much i loved art and help me be able to exspress myself through art. awesome

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

very discription and easy to follow I really liked Bryce's insight on each aspect of visual arts. He chose very good examples for his lectures and knew them in and out. i feel that iʻm already improving as an overall artist. Bryce has a very down to earth attitude and lots of patience witch makes him very easy to work with and comprehend. Lastly, Bryce is very encouraging to students whether they be beginners or experienced artists and always points students in good directions in achieving their artistic goal. I love all the Art projects offered in class, they all helped me to expand my talents and I learned so much about color that I didn't know. I like on the first day of class how he explain how he was and where he came from. What his learned and where his been and exsperaces he had. That gave him value and respect and knowing he new his subject. It helped me trust in him as a teacher and a person. I valued is knowledge and its as if for alot of students in class he had been where we were or new how we felt at different points of his life.

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

I would love to try his ceramics class Great guy very intelligent and insightful. Bryce sincerely loves what he does and is able to teach the material in a timely manner which is very respectable and admirable. I am probably one of the oldest student in his class and the way he managage his class and handle himself was beyound his years. I recommend him to other students and friend. Im hoping ill be come a better artist because of the time I spent with him

definately I would very much so, recommend Bryce to other students who are interested in this course. Yes I would recommend Bryce to other students because his skills and abilities are commendable and he made my learning experience fun. Yes, I would have also liked going on trips to see art but how he show us slides and history help you get the full picture

Please open the cafeteria on Saturdays for the classes in session, that would be very awesome for everyone. Bryce is a sweet man and is an awesome artist. I hope to take more classes

He is attentive when we ask questions and always answers them fully until we are no longer confused. He has an open personality in the classroom that makes him very approachable if we ever do feel the need to ask him something. He made sure that we were catching onto the lessons that he taught and helped us to better our form so that we can do better. Even if it is his day off he will come in and help a students. He will also let students use his personal tools if needed. When asked, he gives one on one attention. Gives constructive feedback on class projects. He was always there when we needed help. His great happy personality made it easy to approach him. He made time durning class time and after if the student need help or had any ?. He is always visiting with every student while they are at work helping them evaluate their own progress, trouble shoot, and providing encouragement.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

He was personal with us and got to know us seemingly pretty well. He know what kind of work we produce and when helping with a problem, understands the different ways we like our pots to turn out. It was very hands on therefor never boring, he did interesting demonstrations and explained step by step what we were supposed to be doing. Whenever I couldnt get something down, he would sit down with me until I was able to do it successfully on my own. I liked everything about the way that Bryce taught the course. He is always available to explain things but doesn't hover and gives the students space to work. Bryce is fair and equitable. Extremely talented and knowledgable. I enjoyed Bryce's teaching although i was probably one of the junkest ceramic makers of all time, but he made me feel that as long as i tried and did my best, then thats what mattered. i had many moments where i wanted to cry and give up, but thank god i didnt. He provides an open forum allowing for open discussion amongst himself and his students. The added dialog greatly helps the student's understanding and perspective of the subject.

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

He's truly and awesome teacher. He is a very good and helpful teacher. He definitely goes out of his way to ensure that students succeed. Awesome instructor. He is an excellent instructor whom I believe is invaluable to the University of Hawai'i System. I especially appreciate that he instructs in the very same community he grew up in and comes from. We need more of that.

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

Definitely. He creates a warm and friendly working environment so the students feel like they are able to talk to him about things and openly able to ask questions or for help. He is friendly as well as professional and really knows what hes teaching about. He answered every question I had. Yes, because he is genuinely interested in teaching ceramics to others. I definitely would! He is a great educator who knows his subject very well and is approachable so you never feel like the questions you have are dumb. He also takes the time to get to know his students. Absolutely! Yes I would recommend Bryce Myers to other students and I have recommend him. I like the way he teaches, he has a lot of energy when he teaches. Absolutely. He has such passion for art which the student can't help but get caught up in. He makes the art form relatable to many different personalities, which is a fantastic skill to have.

im not an artistic person at all and needed an art credit to graduate. i have never realized how hard ceramics are esp.if you have no talent like me.but, after many angry moments w/myself and a few tears ive held back, i see my finished products and feel so much pride in myself. my family have even pointed out how crooked some of my bowls are, but i tell them it has "character" just like the artist that worked hard on it. at least i can say i made it!and of course, all the beautiful glazes can make anything ugly turn out pretty. thanks for an awesome semester!

22. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Bryce Myers would work one on one with students who needed help with a concept. Bryce always asked us in the beginning of class how we did on our home work. He alsways asked us if we need help with anything and that he is free after class for help. Yes, when students had a hard time understanding a few drawing techniques, he didn't only explain it to them. He stopped the class and actually demonstrated. He is always available to help if you need him. He always come to help me when I need help getting a concept that he is teaching.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I like the fact that he explain the back ground of the drawing to us and how he helps us to draw. The class excelled at a good rate. It wasn't too fast paced to the point where everyone was lost. I liked watching him do demonstrations, it made me want to draw better. He didn't judge my drawings. Even if it is not correct, he always found something good to say.

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Bryce is a great teacher he know how to teach and he know what he is doing. He is a great art teacher, and he taught me things that really helped me as an artists, because I didn't think that I could draw at all.

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

I would recommend Bryce Myers to other students because he has helped me get better at shading and my drawings now look more realistic. This was a good class for understanding the basics. Yes I would becasue he can really help you to improve your drawing skills and get the idea of drawing down. He helped make me a better drawer and he can do the same to others. Yup. He's a good teacher, and a few of my classmates agree that he is possibly the next Snowden. Yes i would recommend him, he is an excellent teacher. he explains things clearly, and has helped me become a better artist. Yes, I have, and I will.

22. How did the instructor show concern for students?

He pretty much lives at WCC to make sure if you ever need him he's around. Bryce Meyers was very good at working with each student one on one to determine their artistic abilities and helped to nurture each students strengths allowing us the freedom (within certain guidelines) to create, according to our individual interests and abilities. Bryce makes himself available to any student who may require non-class time assistance. He also is very intuitive when it comes to helping each student to obtain their artistic goal. Also Bryce has a lot of helpful insight, which he shares with each student, of applying certain techniques. Bryce takes a hands on approach with every project of every student to further demonstrate certain methods. We had a required field trip and he offered rides to students that would otherwise have had to take the bus. He is willing to come in on his days off to open the lab for students to work. See below He is always available to answer questions, and give help/advice Bryce is always available during class to work hands-on with students and what they're trying to achieve with specific projects. He always asks if we need more time to work on projects and if we'd like to come into the studio outside of class time. He is available when we ask him if we need his help almost all the time. He really takes the time to help each student individually.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

Bryce is extremely smart, no matter what you're trying to do he helps you think of ways to tackle the problem. Bryceʻs strength as a teacher comes from his ability to constructively criticize without making you feel bad or defensive. He throws out lots of ideas to get you thinking, then leaves it up to you to decide to take his advice or not. He also gently pushes us to get out of our "comfort zone" so to speak, when doing art, constructing pieces or working with tools or mediums that are unfamiliar. What i really liked about this course was the amount of information i received on the science behind manipulating certain materials and gaining a further understanding of what to look for within other pieces in this field, as well as what to aim for within my own projects. Bryce really made a point to teach form and content with in our class and always had us keep that in mind through out the semester while showing detailed examples for every project. Bryce is very involved and insightful during and outside of class and really takes the time to help his students grasp each concept regarding the task at hand. I very much enjoyed this class. I really enjoyed the demos he did. I also like that he allowed students to work on their own but was available to help when they needed it. In some cases he didn't organize himself effectively before class to give a lecture, or cover a specific lesson. In those cases, the explanations were dragged on, and were not as clear as they could have been. However, when working hands on he makes every attempt to make sure the students are progressing, and takes time to help people who have fallen behind, he also allows for dozens of hours of out of class time, in which a student can either finish, or start new projects. His demonstrations were very helpful, he is a very hands-on teacher Sometimes slideshow lectures were a bit lengthy and wordy however it does show that Bryce tries very hard to completely explain projects and concepts for students of all ranges of experience to learn and understand equally. He is very nice, supportive, and a all-around good guy. He is very patient, explains each project thoroughly and gives lots of help

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

Bryce works really hard at what he does and you can tell he loves every minute. I had a really great time in his class and learned a lot about myself as a person and as an artist. Heʻs an awesome guy very easy to work with and very informative. He works much harder than a lot of other professors I've met. Overall the class is quite enjoyable, but for now that can only be said on the working half of the class, if he can find a way to better utilize information (i.e. lectures etc) he'll be able to make the class much more enjoyable, especially on lecture only days. Great teacher. Really skilled in his field. As well as very personable, understanding, and patient. He's super nice and cool!

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

YES! I was recommended to Bryce's class. Absolutely. He is very knowledgable and teaches art in such a way that it is fun and exciting. He understands that art is never right or wrong and teaches us to do the best we can. He is never judgmental and is always helpful and supportive. i would definitely recommend Bryce and wish i had another course under his instruction next semester. Definitely! Cause he's awesome. Absolutely, far too few of WCC's teachers have a real interest in their students. For the most part they remain stand-off-ish and take no effort to get to know their students, or understand their students own situations. Especially in the cases of a student not being able to do work outside of school due to accommodations at home, or in the cases of a student who has take an excruciatingly hard route to school due to their location and the schedule of buses/family members/part-time jobs. He makes every attempt to ensure his students pass the class, which is something to be admired. Yes I would recommend him to other students... he explains things in a way that is easy to understand. yes, he is a good teacher and he knows his subject well. Yes, he really helped me to understand bringing the 2-D into life as a 3-D piece. He is nice and will help you no matter what. He is very good at what he does. He has great knowledge of art.

Bryce is very involved with all his students and shows a genuine care for each individual student. The school needs to acknowledge this and compensate him accordingly so we the students at WCC will not lose such an astounding asset. Bryce handles awkward situations well. And is very easy to talk to when I'm having a problem. Bryce Myers always takes time for each and every student with whatever question they have. He goes out of his way to help anyone that asks. He always checks in with each individual from time to time to assess where they are in the process, what their goals are, and he encourages each student to strive to push themselves further. He's also always willing to lend an hand or an idea or answer a question. Always asked if I needed help and was willing to show how to do things and explained things clearly. He is available for outside help and spends as much time with you as needed. He goes out of his way to help you accomplish what you want to do. He works to figure out solutions to potential technical problems with the media. He is encouraging and positive. I couldnʻt ask for a better instructor. I feel like Bryce always puts his students first. I have seen him spend hours outside of class helping his students with their projects.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

Everything he is very methodical and wonderful beyond words. He's gives us as much class time as possible, which is good. I like how he did demonstrations, and gave us periodic assignments that built on prior experience. I like how the class has structure, but at the same time allows you to take projects in several directions of your own choosing. He lets everyone shine as individuals and no one feels less capable or helpless even when it can be difficult learning a skill. I liked how there was a project list, but we could make our own variation of genera of that project. see above I like how Bryce lets students learn at there own pace, but is always willing to help a student when they need help.
