13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
As a deaf person Mr.Nakamoto obviously knows the language very well. He could answer any question we had about old signs, new signs, signs we didn't understand etc. He was a very interactive teacher and encouraged us all. I think his biggest strength was his attitude towards the students. He's the type of teacher that makes you feel safe to ask questions without the fear of feeling stupid. If you get something wrong he doesn't single you out or anything and that made learning a lot more fun.
Very knowledgeable in subject
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
No changes. Maybe submit the homework in class instead of moodle because it's easier.
none
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He always encouraged us to practice and learn. He showed concern by making sure we knew the signs before the big exams because he wanted us to get the best grade possible.
He encouraged class participation and constantly asked if we had any question, understood the content, or told us to contact him or meet with him if we needed help.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes!!! friendly, caring, funny, smart. great teacher!
Yes. He's fun and very personable.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
