Educational Perspectives, the Journal of the College of Education,
University of Hawaii at Manoa, has been in publication now for
more than 40 years. It is a professional journal of recognized stature,
having been cited for Superior Achievement by the Educational Press
Association of America (EdPress) on six separate occasions. It is
a 32+-page, semiannual publication with a circulation of more than
a 1,000 copies.
In addition to serving a local need in educational
publication, Educational Perspectives is in the collection
of 500 colleges and universities in the United States, including
Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, The University of Michigan, University
of California at Berkeley, and the University of California at Los
Angeles.
Internationally, it is mailed to 200 educational
institutions, including the College of Education (Lagos, Nigeria),
Institut Nauchnoi Informatsii (Moscow, Russia) Chinese University
(Hong Kiong), Institut Pedagogique National (Paris, France), University
College of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Shanghai Normal University
(Peoples Republic of China), Universita Karlova (Prague, Czech Republic),
Universitas Indonesia (Jakarta), Universitetbiblioteket (Oslo, Norway),
Universite de Moncton (New Brunswick, Canada), and the University
of the South Pacific (Suva, Fiji).
Educational Perspectives is also received
by colleges and universities in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines,
Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Australia, England, Sweden and India.
The major professional educational publication
in the State of Hawaii, Educational Perspectives provides
a forum for the discussion of educational issues in Hawaii
and the Pacific, enabling dissemination of these ideas to other
parts of the world.
The University of Hawaii Libraries uses
Educational Perspectives as a one of the publications in
its Gifts and Exchange Program with other colleges and universities.
Educational Perspectives is indexed
nationally and internationally in the Standard Periodical Dictionary,
Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory, EdPress Directory,
and Xerox University microfilms (Michigan, Canada and England).
