Research Interests

My present research studies are on the mating and feeding behavior of the Chinese rose beetle, Adoretus sinicus Burmeister. This beetle is a pest of significant economic importance however no life history information, which is needed in order to develop effective control measures, has been conducted. The results of our studies to date, indicate that there may be more than one mating strategy used by males of this species and that body size may be related to mating success.
