Please refer to the lightbulb section for guidelines on how to dispose light and fluorescent bulbs. Other uncollectable glass and broken pieces can be placed in a sealed, puncture resistant container (e.g., cardboard box) lined with plastic. Label the container 'glass' or 'broken glass' and place next to the dumpster for disposal.
All colors of glass are okay and labels can be left on, but lids must be removed and bottle contents (e.g., milk, juice, etc.) should be emptied and rinsed. Bottles previously containing chemicals or hazardous materials should be triple rinsed so that there is no chemical smell remaining.
