New Employability/Insurability Requirements
for UH Divers
To
maintain active UH Diver status:

(1) |
NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 31, 2005, each
UH diver must complete the first 4 pages of the new UH Application For UH
Scientific Diver Authorization, and return them to UHDSP with evidence of
UH employment and insurability status. The new forms are also attached,
and are available on the UHDSP web site. |

Effective January 1, 2006, all divers
whose activity is not part of their official duties as an employee or
official volunteer to a UH project must provide evidence of current DAN
diving accident insurance. This will primarily affect students
whose diving is not part of a RA or TA position, and who is not diving as a volunteer
on a formal UH project. |
