The Environmental Law Program Presents :

Mr. Cliff Slater, a Honolulu businessman, an Adjunct Fellow at the Reason Foundation and a former Community Scholar in the University of Hawaii Economics Department.

 His website is www.honolulutraffic.com.

Mr. Slater  will discuss The facts about Mass Transit: Rail vs. HOT Lanes

Since Mass Transit will be the biggest capital expenditure in Honolulu's history, affecting all of us for decades to come,
this is a great opportunity  to learn about two of the options that the City is considering.

All are welcome. Lunch will be provided for  the first 20 people, plus trick or treat candy!

Please join us at the “Marine Mammal Conservation” colloquium on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. The Environmental Law Program and Environmental Law Society are excited to host this special presentation by David Schofield, Marine Mammal Response Coordinator, for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Pacific Island Region. David will share news about the status of monk seals, whales, and dolphins in the main Hawaiian Islands, and what we can to help our finned and flippered friends through volunteer, intern, and legal research opportunities with NOAA. For 3L’s with pro bono requirements, and 2L’s and 1L’s anticipating second year seminar or environmental law class paper topics, this is the call.

ELP is providing a delicious lunch, and asks only for your RSVPs ASAP to yaindl@hawaii.edu

That’s Wednesday, October 25, 12:45, in the Moot Court Room. Mahalo.

Get HI on en-dolphins! Kiss it with a Seal! Have a whale of a time!
