Welcome to the Environmental Law Program (ELP) of the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. The School of Law is located in the dramatically beautiful Hawaiian archipelago. The most isolated land mass in the world, the Hawaiian islands are home to spectacular and unique ecosystems that are particularly vulnerable to disruption. Recognizing the challenges that Hawai'i faces in developing an environmentally sustainable economy, the School of Law began developing its vibrant and diverse program of environmental law studies more than fifteen years ago. A nationally recognized program, the Environmental Law Program is ranked in the "Top 20" by the U.S. News and World Report (April 2007).

Support ELP
There are many important ways to help sustain the Environmental Law Program and its students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Please consider these opportunities to get involved:
(1) a direct donation to the Jarman Endowment for students
(2) donating your time to be a judge for the program's moot court teams
(3) serving as a mentor to one of our students under the Enviromentors program
(4) donating your used environmental law books and resources
(5) providing students opportunities to do pro bono work, externships, and paid summer or semester jobs
(6) hiring our students after they graduate
(7) donating to the Law School generally, see "Ways to Give"
