How to ask business reference questions

 

Reference Desk - Hamilton Library

The main Reference Desk for business is on the first floor of Hamilton Library. The desk is staffed with librarians (from the fields of business, humanities and social sciences), as well as trained assistants from the Library and Information Science (LIS) graduate program. Step up to the desk and ask anything you like.

Our standard reference desk hours are:

Monday -Thursday 9:00am-8:00pm
Friday 9:00am-6:45pm
Saturday 9:15am-4:45pm
Sunday 1:00pm-7:00pm
Closed holidays

Telephone Reference

The Business, Humanities and Social Sciences Department operates a telephone reference service during our normal desk hours. This is a great way to get quick answers to basic reference questions or to verify our holdings of particular resources.

For more detailed business reference services, call one of the business librarians. We will get a feel for your particular information need, do some preliminary searching, and either get back to you by telephone or e-mail, or perhaps set up a time to meet and discuss your current research options.

E-mail Reference

The Business, Humanities and Social Sciences Department operates a general e-mail reference service (emailref@hawaii.edu). Please feel free to use this service to ask business related reference questions. Some of your questions may be forwarded to the appropriate business librarian.

For more specialized reference queries, please feel free to send e-mail directly to one of the business librarians.
