The Library acquires education-related materials to support the programs of
the UH College of Education. These materials are located in the humanities and
social sciences collection on the first and second floors of Hamilton Library
and in the Asia, Hawaiian, and Pacific Collections on the third, fourth, and
fifth floors. Additional materials are located in the science and technology
collection in the Hamilton Addition.
The physical collections contain more than 125,000 books and 300 currently
received core journals (plus hundreds of other journals of interest to
educators). Audiovisual media are housed in Sinclair Library. All of these
materials are listed in the
Hawaii Voyager Library Catalog. Many journals, books, and documents are
available in electronic form. Some are listed in Hawaii Voyager, others are
listed in the Library's Electronic
Resources gateway.
The ERIC Collection of nearly 500,000 educational documents in
microfiche format is housed in the Microforms Room on the first floor of
Hamilton Library. These documents are indexed and described in the
ERIC Database. ERIC also lists educational documents and journal articles
available in full-text online.
