History & Life Database Online
America: History and Life Database Online is a complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to present. Published since 1964, the database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries, over 2,000 journals indexed, approximately 6,000 citations of books and media reviews annually, and citations of dissertations. Every year approximately 16,000 new entries are added to the American History and Life database.

(Human Relations Area Files) Collection of Ethnography

Ethnic NewsWatch is a full-text general reference database of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press -- English and Spanish language. The titles in Ethnic NewsWatch represent the diversity of the American population in ways that are generally not seen in the mainstream media.

Hawaii Pacific Journal Index is a Voyager Online Catalog Citation index to nearly 100 journals published in or about Hawaii and covering all subjects. A listing of titles indexed in HPJI is available.
Historical Abstracts
Historical abstracts is a guide to the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America: History and Life). Published since 1954, there are currently over 2,000 key historical journals from virtually every major country indexed, approximately 3,000 citations to useful historical books included annually, and citations to dissertations completed worldwide. Every year over 20,000 new citations are added to the Historical Abstracts database.
JSTOR Arts and Sciences I Collection
Provides full-text journal backfiles in various disciplines. The JSTOR project's primary goal is to build a reliable and comprehensive archive of important scholarly journal literature. Selected journals in the following subject areas are available: African-American Studies, Anthropology, Asian Studies, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology and Statistics.

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Sociological Abstracts
Sociological Abstracts is an index with abstracts to the literature of sociology from 2,700 journals and other serials, books, dissertations, and conference papers published worldwide. Coverage is from 1963 and includes all facets of sociology and related disciplines including anthropology, criminology, education, law and penology, race relations, social psychology and urban studies. Trust Territory of the
Pacific Archive
The Trust Territory of the Pacific Archive database is an index of documents on microfilm, photographs and other
material from the records of the former Trust Territory Government (Micronesia). The collection consists of 2,169
reels of microfilm which document the entire American period in Micronesia through correspondence, memoranda, reports,
surveys, maps, and other material.

Ethnic Studies materials having to do with American Studies are located on the first floor (reference and periodicals) and the second floor (circulating materials), while the Asia collections are on the third and fourth floors, the Hawaii/Pacific collections are on the fifth floor, and audiovisual materials are in the Wong Audiovisual Center in Sinclair Library.
