The Foundation and Grant Collection
The Foundation Center Cooperating Collection in Hamilton
Library helps grant seekers locate funds and/or grants for
their projects. The collection includes printed guides for
local, national, and international sources; CD-ROM databases;
and online databases and resources.
The collection is sponsored in part by the Foundation Center,
a New York City based nonprofit organization which disseminates
information on philantrophic foundations. Our collection is
part of a national network of regional cooperating collections
which assist on a local level the Foundation Center's efforts
to put grant seekers in touch with grant makers. The Regional
Collection is a depository for many Foundation Center publications
and also has resources from other publishers and funding organizations.
Grant seekers will find in the Collection names, addresses,
and descriptions of private foundations; information on Federal
funding; current trends in grantmanship; and books describing
how to write a proposal.
The Regional Foundation Collection is Hawaii's most extensive
resource on grantmanship and is also the most accessible.
The Collection is located near the main reference desk on the
first floor of Hamilton Library.
Who Can Use It?
Any individual or group seeking funds or grants, undergraduate
students, graduate students, faculty, research organization,
community organization, or non-profit organization is welcome.
The Collection is self-service and available to the public
during the Library's hours.
How to Use It?
The Collection is located near the main reference desk on the
first floor of Hamilton Library. The shelf is marked "Foundation Collection". It is self-service.
