Academic Search Premier
Multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for nearly 4,650 serials, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 8,200 journals.
America: History & Life Database Online
America: History and Life Database Online is a complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to present. Published since 1964, the database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries, over 2,000 journals indexed, approximately 6,000 citations of books and media reviews annually, and citations of dissertations. Every year approximately 16,000 new entries are added to the American History and Life database.

GreenFile
GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human
impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and
general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green
building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling,
and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than
384,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,700
records.
JSTOR Arts & Sciences I Collection
Provides full-text journal backfiles for political science journals as
well as other related research. For most journals emphasis is on complete
coverage of back sets, but the most recent years are not included.
Law and Politics Book Review
This is an electronic periodical from the Law and Courts Section of the
American Political Science Association. It was founded by Herbert Jacob
and is edited by C. Neal Tate of the University of North Texas.
Military & Government Collection
Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military
and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals,
academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of
those sites. The Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover
full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and
abstracts for nearly 400 titles.
PAIS International (Public Affairs Information Service)
PAIS International is an index to the world's public and social policy literature in the fields of business, economics, local and federal government, political science, international relations, finance, and other social sciences. It has references and in some cases abstracts of articles from over 3,660 journal titles, books, gray literature, internet material, conference proceedings, government and ngo documents and statistical publications.
Project Muse
Project Muse provides access to selected full text of approximately 250
scholarly journals published by university presses. The publishers

Sage Journals Online provides access to Web Editions of journals
published by Sage. The University of Hawaii at Manoa subscribes to
approximately 150 journals published by Sage, primarily in the social

Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary index, with searchable author abstracts, covering the journal literature of the social sciences. A multidisciplinary index covering the journal literature of the sciences
(Science Citation Index Expanded) as well as both the Social Sciences

About the Political Science Collection
The Political Science collection contains approximately 64,000 books and over 550 current subscriptions to periodicals and other serials supporting interests in Political Science, as well as thousands of other books and journals in related fields. The collection reflects the focus of the Department, emphasizing political theory, public policy and administration, international relations, political behavior, Asian and Pacific politics, comparative politics, and international development. Additional areas of interest to the faculty are cultural studies, critical studies, feminism, politics and media, alternative futures, conflict resolution, and peacemaking and mediation.
The department's interests in Asia and the Pacific basin result in heavy use of the Asia, Pacific and Hawaiian collections. The Government Documents collection acquires materials from the United States, the United Nations and its affiliates, and the World Bank.
Other Resources
The East-West Center Resource Materials Collection, with its emphasis on non-trade publications, conference papers, official publications, and publications of non-governmental organizations of the Pacific rim nations, supplements the Hamilton Library collection.
The Institute for Peace Resources maintains a collection of books, journals, newsletters and videos on conflict and peace.
The Legislative Reference Bureau Library contains an extensive collection of state legislative and public administration materials, emphasizing current issues and policy oriented materials of interest to the Hawaii Legislature, and de-emphasizes academic and historical materials.
