Find Articles and Journals

 

Academic Search Premier
Multi-topic database of journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, many in full text. Limit your search to Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals by checking that box under "Limit your results". Use the "Find It" button to link to the full text of an article if none is attached.

 

Google Scholar

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations.

Set up your Google Scholar Preferences to make sure the "Full Text @ My Library links are live. And always access Google Scholar through the library website (the library's proxy server) to link to full text articles.

 

LexisNexis Academic
Use the "Legal" tab on the top left side to limit your search to law reviews and journals.

 

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
The Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive databasewith nearly 480 full text titles covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

 

PsycINFO/PsycNET
PsycINFO provides citations and abstracts of international journal articles, chapters, books, technical reports and dissertations in psychology and related disciplines. Produced by the American Psychological Association it covers over 1,400 journals, representing professional and scientific literature from over 50 countries going back to 1872. Access is through PsycNet - which allows you to search the article database PsycInfo, PsycArticles (index of fulltext APA journal articles, and PsycBooks (fulltext books) all at one time. To limit your search to just journal articles, uncheck the box "PsycBooks". Try an "index term" like forensic psychology in your searches .
