Multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for nearly 4,650 serials, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 8,200 journals.
America: History & Life Database Online
America: History and Life Database Online is a complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to present. Published since 1964, the database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries, over 2,000 journals indexed, approximately 6,000 citations of books and media reviews annually, and citations of dissertations. Every year approximately 16,000 new entries are added to the American History and Life database.
Anthropological Index Online (AIO)
Anthropological Index Online is an index to periodicals in the Museum of Mankind Library, incorporating the former Royal Anthropological Institute library.
eHRAF (Human Relations Area Files) Collection of Ethnography
eHRAF (electronic Human Relations Area Files) Ethnography is a cross-cultural database that contains full-text information (e.g., books, journal articles, and dissertations) on world cultures. It includes indexes by ethnic group and topics. The database is useful for all disciplines concerned with cultural and social life.

ERIC (via EBSCOHost)
ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, is a national information system supported by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Library of Education, and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement. It provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1000 educational and education-related journals.

Hawaii Pacific Journal Index is a Voyager Online Catalog Citation index to nearly 100 journals published in or about Hawaii and covering all subjects. A listing of titles indexed in HPJI is available.
Historical Abstracts Database Online
Historical abstracts is a guide to the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America: History and Life). Published since 1954, there are currently over 2,000 key historical journals from virtually every major country indexed, approximately 3,000 citations to useful historical books included annually, and citations to dissertations completed worldwide. Every year over 20,000 new citations are added to the Historical Abstracts database.

JSTOR Arts and Sciences I Collection
Provides full-text journal backfiles in various disciplines. The JSTOR project's primary goal is to build a reliable and comprehensive archive of important scholarly journal literature. Selected journals in the following subject areas are available: African-American Studies, Anthropology, Asian Studies, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology and Statistics.

PAIS International (Public Affairs Information Service)

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
The Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive databasewith nearly 480 full text titles covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.
PsycINFO
PsycINFO provides citations and abstracts of international journal articles, chapters, books, technical reports and dissertations in psychology and related disciplines. Produced by the American Psychological Association it covers over 1,400 journals, representing professional and scientific literature from over 50 countries going back to 1872. Chapter and book coverage includes worldwide English language material published since 1987. More than 55,000 records are added each year. This access is provided through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.
Social Sciences Citation Index
Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary index, with searchable author abstracts, covering the journal literature of the social sciences. It indexes more than 1,725 journals spanning 50 disciplines, as well as covering individually selected, relevant items from over 3,300 of the world's leading scientific and technical journals. Online coverage from 1980 to present.
Social Services Abstracts
Social Services Abstracts covers current research focused on social work, human services, social welfare, social policy and community development. The database contains over 73,000 records from 1585 serials. It goes back to 1980 and is updated every month with approximately 350 new records. Access is through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.
Social Work Abstracts
Social Work Abstracts database contains more than 26,000 records, spanning 1977 to the present, from social work and other related journals on topics such as homelessness, AIDS, child and family welfare, aging, substance abuse, legislation, community organization, and more. Register of Clinical Social Workers database contains listing of registered social workers, including their address and phone numbers, education and specialization, type of practice and license information.

The general collection contains nearly 47,000 books and 102 periodicals. The primary emphasis is on contemporary developments and practices, particularly in the United States and on cross-cultural aspects concerning Asian and Pacific cultures, especially Hawaii. Relevant materials can also be found in Hamilton's Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, Government, Asian, Hawaiian and Pacific collections, as well as in the UHM Public Health Library and various government welfare agencies in Honolulu.
