STAT-USA is a service run by the US Department of Commerce for the US business, economic and trade community, providing access to Global Business Opportunities & the National Trade Data Bank.

  • GLOBUS (Global Business Opportunities) offers daily trade leads from the Trade Opportunities Program (TOPS), as well as the Department of Agriculture. GLOBUS also offers daily procurement activity from the Defense Logistics Agency, the United Nations, and the Commerce Business Daily leads.
  • The NTDB (National Trade Data Bank) provides access to Country Commercial Guides, Market Research reports, Best Market reports and other programs. The International Trade Library is a comprehensive collection of over 40,000 documents related to international trade. All are full text searchable, as well as keyword searchable by country or product.
  • The State of the Nation Library now includes Travel & Tourism Statistics from the International Trade Administration’s Office of Travel & Tourism. This new set of data tracks arrivals and departures to and from the United States, as well as market profiles based on country of origin and overseas visitors.

About the Travel Industry Management collection

 

The School of Travel Industry Management has its own library; in cooperation with its Sunset Reference Center, Hamilton Library Collects selectively in the travel field, generally emphasizing reference material and publications with a broad treatment of the discipline, including transportation as applied to the travel industry. The collection includes over 15,000 books and many journals, as well as annual reviews, bibliographies, dictionaries, glossaries, directories, encyclopedias, case studies, proceedings, transactions, and publications of societies and associations. Dissertations are acquired only at the specific request of the faculty.
