Earthday 2009

Starting in the Environmental Center, the Ecology club at UH Manoa and the Waldorf school of Honolulu promoted native plant restoration by removing invasive heleconia and planting a pleathora of native hawaiian plants.

Donations were provided by local nurseries and the Botany department at UH Manoa.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or want to contribute plants, tools, rocks, etc. to the ongoing effort of maintaining the beauty of the environmental center please contact Ryan Hoan, the Ecology Club president @ hoan@hawaii.edu

Activities and Education

Tiffany Tan and Cassidy Lum created the Earth Day table event at Sustainable Sauders sponsered courtyard. There were plants, educational information on sustainability, interdisiplinary studies and the ecology club. This made it the best day to be an environmentalist.
