First Green Fridays

LogoThe UH Manoa Surfrider Club, in support of the Rise Against Plastics Campaign (RAP) is holding First Green Fridays to increase the collective awareness of single use plastics. The aim of this campaign is to achieve a campus-wide ban of plastic bags. There will be two main events in the Sustainability Courtyard on the UH Manoa campus on November 4th and December 2nd. Come join us on either date to gain knowledge, sign a petition to ban plastic bags on campus, collaborate with like minded people and have an all around good time!

Entertainment and events include: a local farmers market, sustainability orientated workshops, alternative transportation and reusable products exhibitions, local DJs and a ReUSE contest with prizes and free giveaways.

Want to compete in the ReUSE contest? Grand prizes include: bicycles, skateboards and local artwork! Simply find creative ways to reuse everyday items and enter each of your creations in one of three categories: aesthetically pleasing, easy to do or most original.

Come on over to be apart of our developing "GREEN" environment on campus!
