School Based Volunteer Water Quality
Monitoring Project in the Ala Wai Canal Watershed

Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to have students, teachers &professional
researchers who live in the Ala Wai Watershed develop & test hypotheses
to understand the impacts of human behavior & natural events on its ecology.

Geological Scope:
The Ala Wai Watershed includes the Ala Wai canal & Makiki, Manoa & Palolo feeder streams.

S5 = Saint Francis Girls School

S6 = Stevenson Intermediate School
