Private Tutoring Lessons

One of HELP’s program goals is to address “students’ individual needs and goals.” One way we meet this goal is by offering private lessons for both HELP and non-HELP students.
During private lessons, you can study one-on-one with a HELP teacher to focus on a specific area of concern, such as:
· Pronunciation, speaking and presentation skills
· Academic writing and writing for specific purposes (e.g. resume, TOEFL)
· Test preparation: TOEFL, SAT, or GRE
· Grammar, vocabulary, or just brushing up your daily English
Private lessons are held in one of HELP’s classrooms on weekdays, at a time of your choice between 8:30am-5:00pm. Semi-private lessons can also be arranged for 2-4 students wanting to study the same topic or material.
PRIVATE LESSONS for HELP Students
Private lessons may be taken by themselves, or in addition to a full time course of study.
FEES
One-on-one lessons: $40 per hour
Semi-private lessons (2-4 students): $35 per hour
PRIVATE LESSONS for Non-HELP Students
Private lessons are available to members of the community or for companies and organizations who are looking for qualified instructors of English as a Second Language and College Preparation skills.
Non-HELP students must pay a one-time application/program fee of $125 in addition to the hourly cost of their private lessons. This fee gives you access to HELP instructors, facilities, and materials, as well as one free administration of the official TOEFL ITP test during the term you are taking private lessons at HELP.

One-on-one lessons: $40 per hour
Semi-private lessons (2-4 students): $35 per hour
• The minimum length of a session is 1 hour.
• The Application/Program fee is non-refundable.
• Tuition fees are non-refundable.
• Lesson times may be rescheduled at no extra cost if adequate prior notice is given:
• If 24 hours’ notice is provided, the lesson may be rescheduled at no charge.
• If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the student will be charged in full for the missed session.
