PowerPoint-ing your Work! with PowerPoint
Have you gone to conferences or attended classes where the presenter
used a presentation tool called PowerPoint to supplement his or
her presentation, and thought, Wow! I wish I could do that?
In this workshop, you will be able to create effective PowerPoint
presentations. This workshop will include visual design and graphic
elements tips, basic PowerPoint features like inserting graphics,
creating text boxes, and inserting new slides, and some advanced
features like custom animations and sounds to help you create an
effective PowerPoint presentation.
Smile! Youre on iMovie!
Using video in the classroom is as simple as removing the videotape
from its jacket and inserting it into the VCR. This workshop will
introduce you to educational and technical issues associated with
video, as well as introduce you to various digital video cameras.
In the hands-on session of the workshop, you will have an opportunity
to import video footage from camera to computer, edit the video
clips using iMovie 2, and finally view the finished product both
on video tape and as a computer file that can be used in most software
packages.

Need an introduction to basic web design and software? This workshop
will take you from conceptualizing a web site (file organization,
file collection, etc.) to the actual creation of the web site in
a web design software.
Building an Electronic Portfolio:
Have you ever heard of an Electronic Portfolio? This workshop defines
what an Electronic Portfolio is and why you would want to create
one. In the hands-on portion of this workshop, you start thinking
about the types of artifacts for your electronic portfolio, and
begin the skeletal structure of your portfolio.

Lets Stream! An Introduction to Streaming Video:
This workshop gives a basic overview of streaming video and its
uses on the Internet. Topics covered include a brief overview of
how video can be used in instruction, Tools and tips for streaming
video, and how to use iMovie 2 to get computer files that can be
uploaded for streaming. (This workshop can be used before a Smile!
Youre on iMovie workshop.)
