Preview: Bookends of War
Announcer: ETEC Connections, a brief look at how Hawaiis schools are integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning. Bookends of War is a project from Mokapu Elementary school.

Col. Lee Grosshuesch: Id rather do as much destruction as I could before I got shot down.

Gail VanDeVerg: When the children would see their actually work up on the website, they were so excited. What we are doing with this project, it is a CyberFair. Its an international student web design contest. My whole class is involved, its my language arts class. Were addressing a lot of standards with this project. Were using technology, reading, writing, oral communication, and were also hitting social studies and fine arts standards as well. The kids are in groups and theyre making individual parts of our website.

Female Student: I think that other kids when they see our website, theyll probably think its real cool cause so far the whole website is looking really good.
