integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning. For the record, shows
college of education students producing a dynamic learning tool that spells
career.
Dr. Andrea Bartlett: My students are preparing to be teachers
in special and general education. Our major project has been to have my college
students who are going to be teachers prepare an electric portfolio.
Student #1: In the beginning I thought it was way overwhelming,
I guess our skills improved so we got a little more used to it, and it got a
little faster.
Student # 2: and for me it's easier to put together.
Leslie Arakaki: Electronic portfolios are pretty much a showcase
of what they've learned while being in the college of education showcasing their
lesson plans that they taught for one unit.
Dr. Andrea Bartlett: Well, every lesson that our students do
would have the content standards that they're addressing.
Leslie Arakaki: They also include video clips of them teaching
the units.
Student # 3: As a presentation it's always good to keep up
with technology and use it to your advantage.
Dr. Andrea Bartlett: Teaching is very exciting. There is a
lot of potential there for people who want to try new things.
