Publication Submission Specifications
Submit your technology projects for publication on the ETEC-Connections
website. Submissions will be peer-reviewed so this publication would
make a great addition to your resume. It is as easy as 1-2-3!
Publication Specifications
- Decide whether the ETEC-Connections website is the best venue
for your work. Visit the site and review the mission and types
of resources available there (http://www.hawaii.edu/etec-connections).
If accepted, your work would be linked to other projects of similar
nature under the "Video and Resources"
section.
- Format your project and burn it on a CD-ROM. If you have
a text-based product, please submit it as a PDF file. If you have
a multimedia project put ALL of your resources in a file with
a descriptive title. You will need to include the proper "player,"
format the project so that is easily opened, and specify whether
it runs on PC, Mac, or both platforms. All projects must be of
professional quality, free of typos and, spelling and grammatical
errors. A panel of educators will review the submissions. CD-ROMs
will NOT be returned.
- Download 2 forms from the website and submit them with your
CD-ROM. The first form will
ask you to provide the title and a 50-word abstract of the project,
names of authors, contact information, and a short biography to
be published on the website. We will also need your address and
phone numbers so that we may contact you, although they will NOT
be published on the website. The second
form (PDF format here)
gives us copyright permission to use your work. Any non-original
material used in your work must be properly referenced and be
copyright free, or you must provide a statement regarding permission
for use. BOTH forms must be filled out completely for a
project to be reviewed.
