Mission Statement: The Department of Educational Technology defines its mission as a commitment to provide a theory- and research-based yet practical educational and training program designed to improve the processes of instruction and learning. To achieve that goal, the department provides quality courses and relevant experiences, encourages and expects its students and faculty to engage in meaningful research and other scholarly activities, and promotes professional development of educators in technological applications to instruction. The department's main target group is post-baccalaureate students committed to the improvement of instruction and learning. For these graduate students, a set of strong objectives has been established, and appropriate activities devised to ensure achievement of high levels of competencies by the program graduates.
