Description:   A book of ideas on how to apply the use of assistive technology in new and creative ways to include students with severe and profound disabilities in a variety of learning environments. Includes how to construct "Tools of the Trade" using available (eg. Control units, remote controls, battery interrupters, spinners, switches, voice output communication aids, etc) to support math, reading, social studies, science, and language arts activities.

Picture-It (Software) Provides tool for parsing text and providing pictures of words. Very useful to use for cooking activities, activities to give opportunity for following directions for daily life skills, reading activities, etc.

Boardmaker (Software) Library of bit-mapped clip art/ drawing program that provides Picture Communication symbols that can be used for assistive communication boards and overlays, teaching visual aids, classroom management, etc.
