UH Mānoa Scholarships and Grants

You may quality for one or more of these university scholarships and grants as part of your financial aid award:

Mānoa Opportunity Grant

Mānoa Opportunity Grant is available to students who demonstrate financial need based on information provided on your FAFSA. Due to limited funding, the maximum annual UHM award is $4,000 and is dependent upon tuition charged and enrollment status. You must be enrolled at least half-time in UH Mānoa courses (6 credits as an undergraduate or 4 credits as a graduate student) to receive the Mānoa Opportunity Grant. Graduate students enrolled in a 1 credit full-time course will not be considered for this grant. The grant will be prorated based upon your enrollment in UH Mānoa courses when not at full time. Community College courses do not count towards enrollment for this Grant. Preference is given to those students who meet our FAFSA priority deadline of February 1st and are residents of the State of Hawaiʻi. There is no separate application, besides the FAFSA, required to be reviewed for this Grant.

Pacific Islander Scholarship

Pacific Islander Scholarship is available to students who demonstrate financial need based on information provided on your FAFSA, are from eligible Pacific Island districts, commonwealths, territories, jurisdictions, states or nations which do not provide public institutions that grant baccalaureate degrees and pay the 150% resident tuition rate at UHM. Since funding is limited, preference will be given to those who meet our FAFSA priority deadline of February 1st. The scholarshipp will be prorated based upon your enrollment in UH Mānoa courses when not at full time. Community College courses do not count towards enrollment for this Grant. There is no separate application, besides the FAFSA, required to be reviewed for this Grant.

Incoming Undergraduate Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded by the Financial Aid Services Office to high-achieving students. To be considered, students must meet the priority deadline for Fall admission, the scholarship requirements, and be accepted to UH Manoa. UHM Merit Achievement/UHF Scholarships

Scholarships are available through Financial Aid Services and academic department/colleges. Please refer to the information on Scholarships and check with your academic department/college for additional opportunities.
