Every picnic after all the games have been played, students taking a Filipino language course have a small song competition against other classes in the same language level. Last October 2005, students from FIL 101-1 (above) creatively interpreted a folk song.

Paligsahan sa Pagkanta (Song Festival) is a Tagalog song competition held during the end of the Fall semester. Each group is required to perform an original Filipino song. This year's songfest was held on December 3, 2005, and students sang songs of the beautiful provincial life in the Philippines.
