Entering the U.S. as a J-1 exchange visitor (for new exchange visitors who are outside the U.S.)
Changing your status to J-1 (for new exchange visitors who are in the U.S. in other nonimmigrant statuses)
Transferring J-1 sponsorship to UH (for current exchange visitors who will transfer J-1 sponsorship to UH)
NOTE: International Student Services is responsible for all J-1
students at the UH Manoa campus. FSIS is responsible for all exchange
visitors in J-1 non-student categories at all UH campuses and for J-1
students at UH campuses other than UH Manoa.
