Tax Workshops
FSIS sponsors federal and state tax workshops every spring for UH international scholars. The workshops are intended to provide general guidance to help you complete your tax filing requirements. There is usually enough time after each presentation for you to ask questions and to receive information from the presenter. However, UH staff cannot assist you with completing your tax forms. If you need further assistance, you should consult with the Internal Revenue Service, State Department of Taxation, a certified public accountant, or a reputable tax preparation service.
See below for information on upcoming workshops and to download presentation slides from the workshops. Please bring copies of W-2s, 1042-S, 1099 and any other income statements and interest statements to the workshops. A limited supply of federal and state tax forms, instructions, and publications for nonresident aliens will be available at the workshops.
