Contemporary Ethical Issues Focus

Locating Videotapes & DVDs

For a guide to searching videos on the Hawai'i Voyager Online Catalog, go to http://www.sinclair.hawaii.edu/HTML/wong/avsearch.html.

To locate videos on specific ethical issues, go to the Hawai'i Voyager online catalog. Using a GUIDED SEARCH type: Video? Ethic? and other key word(s) that interest you (the "?" limits the search to videotapes and DVDs and to records that include both ethics and ethical)

Sample search:  video? ethic? education

Other sample keywords:  plagiarism, genetic engineering, mass media, human cloning, medical, etc.

Note that not all video records on ethical issues will necessarily include the words ethics or ethical. So you can also try your search without using ethic?.

You may request that items be held for you (for 24 hours) by using the following procedure: http://www.sinclair.hawaii.edu/HTML/media_service.html.

You may also book videos for classroom use or put them on reserve so that your students can view them in the Sinclair Library Wong AV Center.  For more information see http://www.sinclair.hawaii.edu.

For assistance in locating videos for your classes contact Linda Engelberg, Video Librarian, Wong Audiovisual Center, Sinclair Library, 956-5414, engel@hawaii.edu.
