Among all water there is movement and stillness. This notion of balance describes the process of glass making and my perception of its transformation from a liquid to solid state of being within a studio environment. The interrelationship between the glass and I can be seen as a complex array of choreographed movements mapping out a timeline of events. The fragile balance of water is similar to the properties found in glass. Working with glass allows for infinite possibilities to take place within a three dimensional space. Glass like water has no boundaries or rules to regulate its movement; it is simply a material that is free to form by the limits of my imagination and creativity. Glass and water are constantly changing; both are unstable until they are defined into a form.
