Patches the Guinea PigPatches came to live with her humans, Iris and Ward, on a warm and sunny June 11, 1994. Almost immediately thereafter, Patches became the inspiration for her "computer professional" humans to ways to explore the newfangled (at the time) thing called the "World Wide Web." She was a handy subject for practicing making web pages, scanning in photos or creating digital pictures. She was even the subject of a very early attempt at a MPEG movie. Please enjoy seeing how Patches and our web experiments have grown over time.
And how about an MPEG Movie of Patches begging? |

Heeerreee's Bailey!Bailey (named that because he's about the color of the liqueur) came home on August 5th, 1995. Bailey has been the model for some of the newer and cooler technologies like capturing digital video, creating QuickTime movies with sound, QuickTime VR modeling and animated GIFs. We're not sure what makes him the more photogenic one (maybe it's the spikey hair) but it's the rascalness that could only be captured with moving images. Here's a sampling of the motion picture pig:

TogethernessPatches and Bailey have grown to be pretty good friends in spite of their different temperments. Bailey accepts that Patches is the alpha pig and will follow her where ever she goes. We think that Patches likes having him around, too, but just doesn't like to show it. For the most part, they happily share sleeping areas, food, and treats. Here are a few of their cute moments that we have managed to capture:

CammieCammie was adopted from the Hawaii Humane Society on May 20, 2001. We're told she was about a year-and-a-half old at the time. Cammie is still a little jittery around her humans, but she has a really (and I mean REALLY) good appetite. In time she'll get better about trusting us. She's already made big strides.

CopperCopper, roughly named for her color, is another adoptee from the Hawaii Humane Society. She came home on June 2, 2003. Copper is very tame, but has an attitude. Unfortunately, this makes it hard to determine who the alpha pig is and has resulted in some spats and loss of fur. We hope she and Cammie will eventually get along as best friends.

KayniJust got her before Christmas in '05 (Dec 22). Sort of a "candy cane" thing. Our vet offered us a choice of several piggies that were brought in and we chose the cute, long-haired one.
