Appointment Changes

Faculty who change graduate programs within the university lose their regular appointment in the former graduate program. If appropriate, they may be reappointed as cooperating faculty in the former graduate program, and/or appointed as regular graduate faculty in the new graduate program.

A faculty may lose graduate faculty appointment or be reappointed from full to associate level through the review process (See Graduate Faculty < Appointment Review); or through a recommendation initiated by the graduate program or by the Graduate Council. Approval by the Graduate Council and the Graduate Division is required.

Retired and resigned faculty lose their regular appointment. Resigned faculty may be reappointed as affiliate graduate faculty in the former graduate program.
