The Graduate Admissions Office receives, processes
and evaluates applications and documentation requirements
for admission to graduate programs. It coordinates the
admission process with graduate programs and various
student service offices. It maintains admissions-related
records beginning with the receipt of applications through
final notification of admissions decision. The office
handles inquiries and actions pertaining to the following:
- Graduate Division admission requirements
- admission and readmission policies, procedures and
deadlines
- application forms and fee
- visa documents for international applicants
- application for change in graduate program
- renewal of application
- residency regulations
- initial classification of students

The Fellowships and Scholarships Office handles inquiries
and actions pertaining to the following:
- processing of Graduate Division Achievement Scholarships
and Achievement Scholarships Asian Pacific Focus
- processing of graduate assistantship appointments
and changes in appointment
- handling of tax information and employment certifications
for graduate assistants
- information and processing for local, national or
international fellowships

The Graduate Records Office maintains official records
pertaining to all classified graduate students. The
office handles inquiries and actions pertaining to the
following:
- course withdrawal after last day to drop
- complete withdrawal
- official leave of absence
- transfer of credits
- change of grades
- degree and certificate requirements
- foreign language examinations
- academic progress forms
- changes in thesis or dissertation committee
- thesis and dissertation (style policy, submission
deadlines, publication requirements)
- degree check, graduation, commencement
- changes in student classification, degree plan or
objective
- current master's students applying for doctoral
program in same discipline
- disciplinary actions
