Overview |
| |
|
Civil
and environmental engineering is concerned with the activities
of people and the environment. The civil and environmental
engineer conceives, plans, designs, constructs, operates and
maintains the physical works necessary for the needs of individuals
and societies.
At the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa (UHM), the MS and PhD
programs in civil and environmental engineering are uniquely
designed to meet the demands of business, industry and government.
Students who enter civil and environmental engineering today
can look forward to one of the most rewarding careers open
to men and women. In addition to financial rewards, careers
in this field bring a sense of personal fulfillment, for civil
and environmental engineers provide enduring service to humankind.
