The Department of Kinesiology and Leisure Science at the
University of Hawai'i at Mānoa (UHM) offers an MS program for
students who wish to pursue advanced knowledge and research
in one of the following areas of specialization:
- Athletic Training — advanced studies of scientific
techniques designed to enhance athletic performance and
coaching techniques.
- Physical Education and Adaptive Physical Education —
advanced research and study in teaching physical education.

graduate students at UHM need to meet degree requirements
set by the Graduate Division and their graduate programs.

Requirements. Below is an overview of the degree requirements
for this graduate program. |

Students may select either Plan A (thesis) or Plan B (non-thesis).
- Plan A requires 30 credits (including six credits of thesis
research), a written thesis and defense of the thesis.
- Plan B requires 30 credits and a final project.
