We provide access to national and local clinical research trials and studies for persons with HIV in Hawaii, funded by the National Institutes of Health and other agencies. Trial enrollment is open to the general public. You don't have to have HIV to participate!


Hawaii Center for AIDS

Welcome to the Hawaii Center for AIDS (HICFA) website. We are part of the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. The HICFA is an academic program in HIV with clinical, tanslational and laboratory research studies in HIV and a clinic poviding care to HIV infected patients. HICFA includes the Hawaii AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (HACTU), 2 research laboratories - Hawaii HIV Immunobiology and Vaccine Laboratory (HHIVL) and the Clint Spencer Clinic.
