Hawaii Center for AIDS

Welcome to the Hawai'i Center for AIDS (HICFA) website. We are part of the University of Hawai'i  John A. Burns School of Medicine. HICFA is an academic program in HIV with clinical, translational, and laboratory research studies in
HIV and a clinic providing care to HIV infected patients. HICFA includes the
 Hawai'i AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (HACTU), 2 research laboratories - Hawai'i HIV Immunobiology and Vaccine Laboratory (HHIVL) and the Clint Spencer Clinic.

Volunteer for Research

We provide access to national and local clinical research trials and studies for persons with HIV in Hawaii, funded by the National Institutes of Health and other agencies. Trial enrollment is open to the general public. You don't have to have HIV to participate!
