Hālāwai (is Hawaiian for meeting), also known as Adobe Connect Meeting is a web conferencing tool licensed by ITS (Information Technology Services) for the University of Hawaii system. Hālāwai enables users to share computer screens, applications, files as well as broadcast live audio and video directly from ones own computer desktop. Hālāwai may be used to hold administrative meetings, small group collaborations, and as an enhancement to face-to-face and/or web-based classes.
Currently we are in a preview or testing phase which means certain areas of Halawai are still being worked on. If you discover bugs or experience technology issues during this preview, review the FAQ & Tutorial sections first, then if you are unable to find an answer to resolve the problem, send an email to halawai-l@hawaii.edu.
**At this time ITS has licensed only the Professional Meeting portion of the Adobe Acrobat Connect system. Other components and features such as Trainings, Seminars, Events and Presenter may be added in the future.
