Brainstorm Applications:

  1. Brainstorming between agencies. Clients dialogue in conference setting. Interacting on-line bulletin board.
  2. Public Conferencing. Real-time, Group setting, Broadcast.
  3. "Tool" of technology is provided to all. Must be easy to use and ubiquitous.
  4. Educate public to bring services to clients.
  5. Provide various alternatives to deliver information to all.
  6. Provide method to make information available to clients and fund providers.
  7. Provide the ability to assess information using cross references in a quick and easy way.
  8. Provide outcome (documented results) of programs that were funded by agencies, individuals, and policy-makers.
  9. Streamline the intake process. Clients knowing where to get appropriate human services and interacting with the agency through economical means, with dignity, respect, confidentiality, efficiency, quality, etc.
  10. Provide inventory (consolidated list) of available resources in the community.
  11. Improve communication amongst non-profit agencies to develop a single source to address non-profit legislative matters.
  12. Provide methods to engage citizen participation.
  13. Develop application that create "value" based "image" of who are in the community.
  14. Teleconferencing.
  15. Provide alternative methods of educating public.
  16. Funding and reporting of significate efficiency gained.
  17. Must be AFFORDABLE for agencies with limited and too little funds.
  18. Issues to address: Security Access, Confidentiality, Responsibility , Guidelines, etc.

Application :

Telecommunications "Basic Services" should be conducive to non-profit organization needs. Non-Profit organizations set an example of telecommunication users that operate with little funds to provide humanitarian services for "your" community.

An organized method to allow interactive video to the home & office for counselling or peer to peer consulting, accessibility to information data bases (including program results, success or failure, reporting to funders), quick and easy means to search and access non-profit services, and allowance for real-time video dialog with local and global users, will significantly contribute to the quality, value, and image of Hawaii's Information Infrastructure.
