The annual Schools of the Future Conference is held every fall – usually late October or early November – at the Hawaii Convention Center and is open to all public, private, parochial and charter school educators, as well as to parents, students, and business & community members. Between 1,300 and 1,500 conferees share best practices over the two days of the event on topics ranging from project-based learning and performance-based assessment to technology integration strategies and digital/online media for learning environments.
The SOTF Conference is jointly presented by the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, the Hawaii State Department of Education, and the Hawaii Community Foundation in partnership with the Hawaii Society for Technology in Education and the Pillars of Peace Hawaii Fund. There are more than 100 presentations by keynote speakers, featured speakers, and school educators sharing best practices over the two days of the conference, as well as digital media, robotics and early learning technologies “playgrounds” providing hands-on experiences. More information about the conference is available at the SOTF Conference 2016 website.
We are currently reformatting the digital videos so they can be viewed, shared, and downloaded.
