About HEPC

HEPC MANAGEMENT

Two panels advise HEPC - a Research Steering Panel comprised of educational researchers and a Policy Advisory Panel that represents the community and includes leaders in education, business, and government. Together, these panels bridge research and the community and:

• suggest areas of policy research needed and establish priorities among them.· develop procedures for commissioning work or awarding grants.
• assist in resource development for the Center.
• assist in promoting and communicating the goals of HEPC in the community.

The Center is part of the Hawai'i Institute for Educational Partnerships, an independent partnership organization of the Hawai'i Department of Education, The University of Hawai'i Colleges of Education and Arts and Sciences, and the Curriculum Research & Development Group. HEPC is housed administratively within the Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i. The Center has its own director who reports to the Executive Committee of the HIEP. The Executive Committee members include the Superintendent of the Hawai'i Department of Education and three administrators from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, the Dean of the College of Education, the Director of the Curriculum Research and Development Group, and the Dean of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences.
