From Kim Chee to City Hall

Father died when
he was 15 years old.
Made a living
weaving lauhala.
No time to learn
or play
ball games.
Helped his mom
with the
Kea`au Kim Chee business.
Worked his way to college,
even earned a
Master’s Degree.
Teacher
and then
Civil Defense Director.
Important job,
because he kept
us safe.
Ran for major for the county of
Hawaii
with no previous experience
…and won!
He always thinks
of others’ needs
before his own --
Even escorted a
girl to her senior prom!
From Kim Chee to
City Hall…
His name is…
Harry!
