| Ho'omaluhia | Southeast Oahu |
My experience of Ho'omaluhia has been as a favored place to go on a Sunday afternoon to see the visual beauty of Hawaii. In fact, it was originally created to provide flood protection for areas of Kaneohe. Here you see the Koolau Mountains (in the background), which are often covered with clouds. The water is the reservoir behind the dam. And the grassy area is actually the dam.
