On your own, do simple things. Listen to African music. Eat traditional foods such as couscous, plantains, cassava, and rice. Say "Hello" in another language. (The Masai, in Kenya, say "sopa sopa" ["SOH-PUH SOH-PUH"]). As a class, hold a cultural fair. Prepare traditional foods. Wear clothing from different countries. Display artifacts and photographs; play music and tell folktales. Spread awareness -invite parents and community members!
