CITIZEN OF THE WORLD GREETING
Linda Kekina
- Pick a place that you are passionate about.
(example: Where you were born, where you have lived, where your
ancestors came from, where a breed of dog that you love comes from, a
place you would love to visit, a place where a favorite food comes from, a
place where a famous person comes from)
- Do research about that place and answer at least four questions.
(Ask parents, look up in the encyclopedia, Internet, atlas,
almanac)
- state and/or country
- continent
- hemispheres
- why I chose this place
- why I am passionate about this place
- Do an oral greeting in front of the class. You may use an index card
to help you remember all of the details. End your presentation with, "I
am a Citizen of the World."
- Place a star on the map of the place you selected.
(example of oral presentation:
My name is Mrs. Kekina. I chose Kansas City as the place I am
passionate about. Kansas City is in the state of Missouri which is in the
United States of America. The U.S.A. is on the continent of North America
which is in the Western and Northern Hemisphere. I am passionate about
Kansas City because I was born there and finished high school there.
My mother still lives in Kansas City. I am a citizen of the world.)
