GEO BINGO

1. The cards can be prepared in several ways:

a. Copy blank Geo Bingo cards for students. Provide them with a list of words (Sample). Students choose and write the terms in the blanks, one word per block, except for the center block (free). If you use the cards this way, the students will mark their cards by crossing out the term.

b. You may want to prepare your own set of Geo Bingo cards. If so, use the list of words that you are working on and write them in the blocks. Each card needs to be different. Mix the words. Don't use the exact same words on every card. If you use the pre-made cards, be sure to have beans or other marker pieces available.

2. Copy the definitions and terms. The strips will be stiffer if you run them off on cardstock paper. Cut them apart in strips. Place them in a container so you can mix them up.

3. To play "Geo Bingo:" Choose one strip at a time. Read the definition. Students need to guess what the term is. Those who have the term will mark their card. Follow the similar directions to playing Bingo. (Students love the challenge and will ask for blackout.)

4. Prizes: optional.
