c. 1995 Dudley Music Co.
Look up and
see, see the sun shine
Over the
mountains, over the ocean
Beyond the
far and distant horizon
There are
places, waiting to be seen.
Look
straight ahead right in front of you
So many
things which need to be explored.
Distant
lands on distant places
A world of
people right outside your door.
Chorus:
We
hold a key that unlocks the door of knowledge
To
reveal our Earth’s story through they eyes of geography
We
hold a ticket to a world of fascination
A
passage to each nation
With
a passport to the world you and me.
This world
of ours, is a place of learning
That
extends bend our classroom walls.
A world of
places and so many races
A world of
oceans, seas and lakes, rivers and streams
We need to
be aware of the things around us
And our
travels around the sun
And only
questions can find the answers
And only
answers can find the truth about the world of which we live.
Chorus
Spoken
verse:
Have
you ever wondered about the clothes you are wearing?
Or
the food, candies, and other things that we eat?
How
about some of the words of the language we speak?
There
are places where they come from.
Do
you know that there are 24 time zones which are 15 degrees apart?
That
means when I’m waking up someone far away is going to bed.
And
the tilt of the Earth? If
it’s spring in North America,
Then
somewhere south of the equator, the leaves of Autumn begin to fall.
Chorus
