Request an Article to be Scanned and Emailed

You can request journal articles located on the shelves of the Health Sciences Library or other UH System libraries (besides Hamilton or Sinclair) to be scanned and emailed to you. You should receive a requested article within two business days. To request books from the Health Sciences Library, please see instructions on Hold or Transfer a Book Web page.

  5. If the item is not available at a UH library (you get no retrievals), you may request the item via the interlibrary loan form at: https://illiad.manoa.hawaii.edu/login. You can also link to the interlibrary loan form from within journal databases (such as PubMed) by clicking on the Find It button and clicking on the "ILL – UHM Users Only" link on the resulting page.
  6. If the item is owned by a UH System library, the journal information will appear with library locations underneath. Check the location of the journal. Remember that you may request articles to be scanned that are NOT available at Hamilton or Sinclair Libraries. If the article you want is at Hamilton or Sinclair Libraries, you will have to photocopy it yourself.
